When I rename a video file I have downloaded - the file immediately disappears!

Hey!!

When I long press on the file, tap the 3 dots, and click on "Show in folder" - it goes to the Internal storage/Downloadfolder - but the file is not there.

And again, when I search for the file in "My Files" - I get "No results found".

Strange , after you rename the files have you try restarting the phone and checking again? Also do you use or have a SD card in the phone ? Try removing it .

Unfortunately, after restarting the phone - the same behavior remains: renaming a downloaded .mov file causes it to immediately disappear from the Download folder; and a system-wide search for the renamed file shows no results.

I do have an SD card.
I removed it - still the same behavior.

I'm not sure what else to suggest, possibly a bug why it can't recognize it in my files .

Yeah, I agree - there is certainly a bug in the "My Files" app.

I know this doesn't help you but it's working on the S20. I believe it is also working on the Note10 but I can't test it for a few days

If you renamed a file and it disappears from your directory you should follow this fellow:

● Go to settings/apps/My Files/My Files Settings
● Enable show hidden system Files option
