When I set a certain text tone to a contact, it just plays the default tone instead. Why is it doing this?

When I set a certain text tone to a contact, it just plays the default tone instead

I've turned the phone off then back on but it still just plays the default text tone instead of the tone that is assigned to a contact

Most text apps use whatever "ringtone" you choose for texts, they don't let you specify tones by contact, the way the phone does.
