When i try to add a contact to my Samsung Flip it says "Cant add contact's to read only

Why can't I add contacts to my phone When I'm trying to add 1 it tells me cannot add contact to a read only

Welcome to Android Central! Which account are you trying to add the contact to? It sounds like you're trying to add it to the SIM card. Make sure you select either your Google account or your Samsung account when adding the contact.
