....I've noticed that people refer to their phones using "OG" before the phone type.

I have no idea what this means.

Can someone please tell me?

I have the OG X as opposed to the X2. Usually this terminology only comes around once the successor has been released.

generally i think when people say they have an OG without mentioning a specific device..i think they mean "Original Droid"...

It is a play on words for the original phone, OG is original gangster, old school, you know

OG means original gangster...which is typically a reference to the OG Droid ...which is the phone that is considered to have really pushed the Android Revolution to critical mass.

oh... I didn't realize that's what OG menat.

I always thought it meant Old Geezer phones....
