When Verizon Announces...

agreed but unfortunately there's always going to be "leaks" and resultant rumors and excitement based on them. I just don't see the need for the party crashers that show up. LOL

Yep it really is an exercise in futility. We are all constantly checking for all the news we can find on this device and there is just too much conflicting info out there to put stock into any one rumor. I'm really hoping for the 15th, but if it doesn't happen, I'll go to bed and wake up on the 16th and go about my normal life all the while looking for nexus info like crazy. I've nearly resigned myself to just accept it will get here when it gets here. After this week holiday / family stuff and hunting will be taking up most of my time so I will be somewhat disconnected from all the rumors.

I just got off the phone with my local Verizon store and when I asked if they had it they said no but when I asked if they had a demo unit he stuttered and said yes. I know its a far stretch but when I talked to another Verizon sales person about a month ago when the phone was first announced he said that they usually get demo units in the store less than a week before launch. I dont know if means that they have had it since before the 9th or just got it. But Ill be in there later today for sure and try and dig for as much information as possible.

If there is anything you guys want to know tell me and Ill see what I can do, as I assume the actual store model will be upgraded to the launch version of ICS and all.

Must have missed that one, because no one seems to be talking or taking advantage of it. But at least it was a step in the right direction seeing that most Verizon stores deny anything related to the Nexus besides "its coming soon" or "we dont have a release date for that yet, but we do have a Droid Razr."

Exactly. What's worse, when I'm not checking here (which is about every 45 minutes), I'm now checking my email for my SWTOR prelaunch invite ... which, similarly, falls into the patience-thinning category of, "You'll receive it before [x date], we'll notify you on the day."

It's really not a good week for my tech addiction... :'(

I work for a Market Research company, and my .02 cents says they want to do a 22nd launch for their Christmas sales and have their competitors waiting until next year to get their variants. I want it to be the 15th.....but I don't see that happening.

Reports are that it is a 30 to 60 contract. Launching on the 15th would still push the other carriors past New Years. Although ill buy your logic for that being why they did not launch in November.
