When, where, and how will Google strike next?

I know Moto is supposed to be operating separately from Google, but they are a Google company with management coming from Google. A few months ago Moto hired a woman to lead their technology development. I think this woman headed a rapid technology unit in the army. I like Moto's build quality and their radios so I would like them along with another OEM to offer a nexus device. Just wishful thinking on my part but perhaps Google will wait until Moto has some hot new tech thing going and then they will release the next version of Android.

Beyond that I think the next version should be released early next year not this year. We barely have 4.0 on most devices and now 4.1 hit in mid year. Too much too soon. Slow it down a bit, take a little more time, and then do it even better.

I agree they need to slow down and form a solid development process for Nexus Line. Their too many unanswered questions with nexus line.

Who will make?
When will be made, or announced, or released?
What event will Nexus line be at?

The list goes on.

The Nexus line is not well known because Google has not made it well known. I'm willing to bet that if every year they came up with a phone with killer specs and a new OS and reveled it to the world, like Apple, it would be a much different story. Like I've said before, the Nexus phone should be a trend setter for other phones for that upcoming year to try and beat. The first thing is Google needs to get with a company where they can have complete control of the specs...like Motorola. Then they need to announce it to the world like Apple does and tell people why they want it. Last year we got confusion and speculation pretty much up to Christmas, which is ridiculous. I don't agree with other people who say that as long as its out by the end of the year its ok. It's stupid to release this phone after christmas. It should be out and ready to buy at the start of holiday season. It concerns me that we have not heard much about the upcoming Nexus either and it makes me think that one will not be released at all this year. I hope I'm wrong but it just doesn't seem to be a priority of Google.

Guys have you totally forgotten the jellybean teaser pic? It had 25:10 as the time, which cannot be possible as we know.If they have purposefully put that number then it should be a jellybean nexus device release on October 25 th.

First time I have heard of it the "jellybean teaser pic". Do have any links on this teaser post a picture of the teaser. The only I have seen as a teaser is the candy cane easter egg in the Jelly Bean OS.

Have not heard about that either, but here's a picture: Is this Google IO screenshot a taste of Jelly Bean? (updated) | Ausdroid Take a look at the time in the right corner.

This could really be a hint, as the date would fit perfecty. As a release date of Jelly Bean, it obviously doesn't make sence, as it's already available. But let's say, they announce new products on October 25th - then they could go on sale on November the 5th, when Android is going to celebrate its 5th birthday.

Good detective work Watson.

Sorry that does do anything for me its just you speculating out of nothing .That was posted on Ausdroid on July 20th and three months have past and no other recent and more profound tech blog has follow up or reiterate that teaser means absolutely nothing for me. Sorry I won't be marking October 25 as day to remember. I am looking forward to next apple event rumored for October and as to see if MobileCON bores me again with another recycle tech event for 2012. (NOT A FAN OF CTIA WIRELESS)

Though I wouldn't mark is as important, the surprise element in the pic confuses me. As an ardent Android fan I wouldn't mind sticking to some date for a nexus device than waiting for a Senior iPod :).

I am only interest because a buddy of mine is interested in the Nexus 7 and the Ipad Mini. I told to get the Ioad Mini because uses an iPhone also because I frankly think he is an isheep. He is really only interested in N7 because he is cheap. Go figure an isheep loves his iPhone but to cheap to buy any other apple product.

iPhone/ Apple products and cheap never go hand to hand :) anyways.. Lets wait for some tangible evidence of the mystery date 25:10 :)

I been waiting every single day that has past by for any nexus news since I got my G1 @ launch day. I passed on the Nexus because I jumped on the Verizon LTE bandwagon. I bought thunderbolt on a two year contract even though I new I should got one contract because TB was not quite the device I wanted. Though me being stuck ok my contract until March 2013 insures I will get a Nexus I want. However if I find myself passing on whatever nexus is available then its only few months from Google I/O 2013.

This is my biggest problem with Google.........a huge guessing game all the way up to the end. They really need to become more polished.

I'd rather have a huge guessing game with devices then have all the details leaked out

Me too. I think all the companies play this hype game. So I'm not sure what he is getting at. Google doesn't have to have a schedule. Neither does Apple. They can do what they like. I just want the phone to be available within a month once it is announced. Unless it is bleeding edge stuff like the Asus Pad phone. Those products can have more of a slow burn as they are testing the market more to see how we respond. Someone from Asus may be reading this now. Lol.

I would love to have details on a leak device so then I know an "actual" device is coming out.

Google is not playing a hype game they are playing "hide and seek".
