When will all the standalone apps come?

Gear s2 has been a winner for the most part for me. Looking to use features like opening a facebook notification though. Getting messages when not connected (remotely) to phone. For that and other related uses, we'll need to login to standalone apps on the S2. Hoping to also have some basic apps that are available on other wearable OS's. Anyone have an idea when they'll be coming? I'm willing to even contribute to someone making some of these apps for us gear s2ers.

I'm with you! Would love to see more apps! My BIGGEST thing I miss between the S2 and the original gear s is the sleep tracking function of shealth. I'm hoping someone builds an app for sleep tracking for it. I'd pay for it! Right now, I put my originalg gear s back on at night for sleep tracking..

There is a sleep tracking app called G'Night available on the Gear store. Folks report mixed/limited results with it, though. Main problem is that it's watch-only. No way to get the data out of the watch.

I'd love to see an app that allows for podcasts to be played on the watch.
