Hi guys I know iknow......I just wanted to know your guesses ad to when you guys think the s7 edge will get nougat here in the US?
Do you think samsung will show improvement to this regard or will it continue to be slow as always pushing out updates? Thank you all for your comments

I'm going to say Feb/March.

That said, I came from the Nexus 5x using the Android 7 preview build. There really is no killer feature to anticipate in Nougat. Native split-screen is nice, but I think the Samsung implementation is just as good, and I don't think it's a particularly useful feature anyway. The next iteration of doze is probably the biggest improvement. But since the Android UI design is pretty mature at this point, there aren't really any noticeable changes there.

7.1, on the other hand, might be a bigger deal, but we'll have to wait and see.

Nougat would be great, but I want the Note 7 ux! All of Samsungs flagship phones should be providing the same user experience.

Agreed here. I would prioritize this over 7. Hopefully the eventual Samsung Nougat release will provide the same UX between the galaxies and the Note.

My guess is Nov at the earliest for the unlocked versions and between Dec and March for the carrier versions.

I'm using 7.0 on my Nexus 5X right now and there isn't anything wow-worthy about it.

My hunch is that LG has forced Samsung's hand here, and they will have to work harder to get the new Android into their 2016 flagships earlier.

If samsung would just make one model with one processor like the s7 and s7 edge with the Samsung exynos processor with no carrier bloat ware and the updates were sent directly from Samsung that would be amazing. And like you said every samsung would get the same user experience no matter what phone you had. Of course the edge would have it special features but the regular s7 have all the same features minus the edge features.

I really want the blue light filter. Thats the only thing I miss from my Iphone. If they cant give it to us with an update, at least release it as an app in the Galaxy App Store.

Yeah, I really want the blue light filter too. Hopefully when 7 is released for the galaxies and the note, we'll all have the same features
