When you set a wallpaper, where is the system copy of the file stored?

[Android Central Question]

I set a wallpaper using a photo of my infant daughter, then later transferred the photo off my phone. It is still displayed as the wallpaper, which tells me there's a copy created on the phone somewhere. I recently lost all my photos of my daughter. Where can I find the system file of this wallpaper??? I'd like to rescue at least this one photo. I've searched through all the folders. Thank you!
