Where are apps placed on the SD card?

Where are the apps located when moved to the SD card? I moved one and I cannot find it. I am looking for it as it is an app that appears to be no longer available and want to put it on my sons EPIC.

It only puts some of the resources of the app on the SD card, you can't copy that data and have it work. The moved programs still take up some room on the phones memory. Your best bet would be to move it back to phone, and copy the APK file from the /data/ folder, which you likely will need to be rooted to do, unless ES File Explorer can reach the /data/ folder, the stock file managers usually only explore on the SD card.

Use Astro File Manager to back up the .apk files for any app you've installed. It is under Menu\Tools\Application Manger/Backup. After you back up the .apk you want you should be able to copy it out of the 'backups' folder where Astro saves it or email it to your son.
