Where are notifications stored?

I need to delete two notifications for files that were queued for download (offline language recognition data) while the "download via Wi-Fi only" option was accidentally set under Settings/Languages & Input (there's no usable Wi-Fi in my vicinity).
Anyone know where I might find these notifications in my file system?

I should add also that there seems to be no way to simply cancel the downloads under Settings. I can't find any references to the two queued files anywhere under Settings. I don't want these notifications to remain on my phone forever!

Nevermind, I found it. It turned out that disabling notifications for the Download Manager cleared them up. They remained cleared, too, even after later re-enabling its notifications.
