Can I get a recommendation for a secure place that I can purchase an unlocked S7 Edge?

newegg and b&h sells unlocked version and I think they are considered to be secure places to buy. Note that they sell international version so it comes up with Exynos instead of Snapdragon I believe and since they export the phone warranty may not be valid in USA but b&h has it's warranty for a year.

Yep. They have been for a little while now IIRC. Verizon has to due to an agreement for some spectrum.
