Where could my sound profile widget have gone?

Sound Profile Widget

Downloaded software no 2.10.161.7 yesterday and I noticed the sound profile widget missing from my home screen. I searched in Add apps and widgets where I had found it before but cant find it know. Anyone else find apps and widgets missing since latest update. Maybe its gone on a holiday lol

I mailed HTC technical support and this was their reply,
I am afraid the widget you are looking for is no longer available, and I advise you to have a look at third-party widgets in the Google Play Store.
So I downloaded Sound Mode Toggle Widget

Same here. I too lost that widget after Marshmallow updated.
Seems like only option is to download a third party widget. The most similar one it seems is 'Sound Mode Toggle Widget' in market.


Anyway it is pretty bad from HTC to remove it. Hope the put it back with a future update.

You can still use a home screen short cut and go to settings and choose Sound and Notifications. You still have to choose Sound Profile when the page opens, but its still only one extra click....

i just found the solution posted in one of the other topics and it worked for me. [HTC one M8/M9/M9+]

Just download the required widgets and transfer the apk file to your device and install.

NO ROOT NECESSARY or any other software!!

Same issue here on my One M8. Looks like another method is to just hold down the Volume Down button and use the new 'Do Not Disturb' features, which I assume is the reason for the Profile widget removal.

For others who don't want to d/l the APK or a third-party app, you can add Sound Profile to the Quick Settings menu (swipe down, then swipe down again, edit icon is in the top right corner). You can also add Quick settings to the navigation bar (Settings->Personalize->Change navigation buttons) for faster access to the Sound Profile setting.
