Where is all the hype for the Note 8?

Is it me or does it seem there was a lot less hype for the Note 8 compared to last year with the Note 7? The media coverage is just blah. Not a lot of mention like with the Note 7 when it was unveiled last year and overall people just are not pumped up like last year leading up to it even though the last two weeks we have basically known what all the specs were on the Note 8.

Is it because of the S8 Plus being so similar? The S8 had a lot more hype than what the Note 8 has.

Even people on here don't seem as pumped up as this time last year.

The pre-orders are just now starting I'm pretty sure hype will build as people start to get near the time to get their phone.

This place has been busy since the unpack lol. There's videos everywhere. Wait and see what tomorrow brings. You know something tho? I haven't seen one note 8 commercial on tv. Maybe they will start them tomorrow? Who knows. Just wait til it gets closer to release and when people get it in their hands. There will be alot complaints and likes about it

Every tech site on the web, at least the many I checked today, had an article and pix on the Note 8 and there are a ton of videos on YouTube from today alone. I don't see the phone as being invisible or ignored at all!

Hell yea I'm getting it! I'm just waiting to see what the deals are. I got micro sd cards already, and the camera I probably wouldn't use much just like the VR with the s8 plus.

I got the S8 Plus that has a large screen so I'm not in desperation mode like I was with the s8 plus going nuts with the S7 Edge small screen. If it saves me $150-$200 to wait until later in Oct then it's worth it IMO. I got the S8 Plus and S7 Edge I can sell as well after getting the Note to recoup it or trade them in.
