Who is waiting for the S26 Ultra?

I had decided to wait for the GS26 Ultra, first, I have the GS24 Ultra, second, I got married when I was 26, third, the colors aren't that good; I would have been very, VERY happy if the GS25 Ultra had a TARDIS blue color, like the GS25 and GS25 plus do, but alas...
And last, but not least; this new iteration of the "best of the best" isn't that much of a step up, they even downgraded the S-Pen! Ugh!

However...

Yesterday I bit the bullet and got a GS25 Ultra!
T-Mo gave me a way better deal than Samsung, without a trade in, so I figured; heck, why not?

Lets wait S26 Edge, S26 Plus and Note26, Theses are what Samsung is doing, I'll wait till Note27

Now that I switched from S24+ to Pixel 9 Pro......all I can say is that it feels good. Perfect size, finally no double apps, so much easier to clean the camera glass, phone is fast. Cons are: no customizable navigation bar, battery seems shorter (although maybe because I am playing with phone too much), wireless charging is either slow or doesn't work at all (I am still learning what's going on with this), screen select tool isn't as good on Pixel, and that AI drawing app on Galaxy while useless most of the time I find it cool

Glad I didn't get S25 this time

What kind of deal did you get from T-Mobile?

Specs is one thing, but whether they have meaningfully enhanced the user experience for YOU is what should dictate your buying/upgrading decision. It doesn't make sense to go solely off of the analysis of others.

For example, going from an S23U to an S25U, some things that are pleasantly surprising in ways that matter to me:

1. I can use 2 eSIMs at once, and I no longer have to restart when shuffling between them (specific problem to North America).
2. Face is unlock is faster and fails noticeably less.
3. Fingerprint unlock has almost never failed for me.
4. Display/AOD brightness auto-adjust based on the ambient brightness is far faster than it used to be.
5. Performance is not "dream level" but it's definitely snappier.
6. The flat sides actually make the phone more one-handed-friendly.
7. There are enough improvements in the camera in total to make up for losing the 10x optical zoom, while the 10x "optical-quality" zoom itself is not bad at all.
8. The superior 20x zoom night-time video will definitely help at my next Blue Jays game in the spring (they've started this new thing that they actually dim the stadium lights whenever the Blue Jays hit a home run).

I have complaints as well, but I'll save those for another time :)

Instead of trading in my good old Note 20 Ultra, I got a new line, for the GS25 Ultra, that gives you an instant $800 discount and since it was from a tmo kiosk inside Sam's club, I get a Sam's $150 gift card.

Samsung would have taken my Note 20 Ultra for only $600, and I don't really need the Samsung store credits, so for me, this was a way better deal.
