Android Central Question

I upgraded from a Blackberry Passport to a G6 phone in December and used about 6 gb of data a month with the Blackberry. My G6 is using more than 10 gb a month. I have taken the phone back twice to my service provider and they will not help. They say the mobile hotspot takes the data. I keep telling them I am not using all this data. Where is it going? I looked for spyware but couldn’t find any. Anyone else have this problem. I have to always turn off my data or else it disappears and I turn off my phone overnight. I changed to an iPad tablet also in December and use my hotspot for the tablet. Could it be the the iPad draining my data?

Every byte you download to the iPad is mobile data. Downloads, streaming, everything.

Yes, the Ipad is most likely using the extra 4GB of data via your mobile hotspot. It all counts the same to your service provider, regardless of hotspot to your tablet, or just data used by your phone.
