Where is Nougat?

I'm still on 1.95.401.4
Should I be bothered?
I've tried RUU but I just get the 155 error.
-Unlocked owner? :/

as how much i can see , in a first days of january, nugat update will start roling for all htc 10 phones.

Samsungs's gonna roll out nougat in Europe starting by 17 Jan. Are HTC still planning to release 7.0 to Europe or will it be 7.X,X that we get?
I'm getting kinda dissapointing now, and this for a flagship phone

This is pretty much the way it is with Android phones. Updates are always a crap-shoot. This is why phones like the pixel sell as one of their top features are timely updates. Doesn't make me want a pixel but it would be nice to get nougat on my 10. I knew this going into the 10 tho. So am not surprised. Fortunately there are numerous launchers that have borrowed some of the nougat functionality and from what I've seen and read about nougat so far it isn't all that anyway. My 10 runs perfectly on MM and doubtful it will be much better on N. The only thing I always hold out for is improved battery life and Nougat users so far are saying it is on par with MM. So, I'm not that excited.

Why aren't yall phones updated yet? I thought the only ppl with the 10 that isn't updated are ppl not in the United States

People on Verizon, the largest carrier in the US, are not updated yet.

Oh, I'm with ATT so I had to get an unlocked one... That's crazy Verizon isn't updated but T-Mobile and other smaller companies have updated already

Got a point, but then i'm still wondering why i'm (maybe others to) are still on the august security patch...

I’m also disappointed at HTC 10. Two reasons made me buy it: the promise of timely updates and the quality of HiFi via earphones.

At first the updates were awesome. Timely and frequent. But as time passed, they became spotty, and none had appeared on my phone in the last months.

It seems that HTC update policy is a mess: while in the US some are already going for their second Nougat update, in that same country others are not receiving Nougat, but at least are getting their monthly security updates for the factory installed version. For other countries some spotty updates, and others, like mine, stopped receiving updates since September (yes, mine is an unlocked phone!).

Country or region favoritism? Lack of resources or will to serve already created updates for all of their customers?

I am very disappointed too, this is their top model, and how they helping their sales - not updating in europe since august, how will they make me stay with them...

Like i put on #htc10 it seems like the nougat release in USA was a beta programme seeing as they are the only country to have got it. Problem is that as there haven't been any bugs that I am aware of since it was released why haven't they released it world wide by now.

Sprint hasn't updated us either. :-[
They said carrier updates would be early in the new year. It's still early. I would expect the Sprint update in the next two weeks or so. We had security updates every month. Way more and faster than I anticipated......

Im not sure why everyone is so crazy about getting update right away. If my phone had some issues, sure Id love to see an update, but lets face it. 7.0 isnt exactly some mind blowing difference from 6.0. It wont be a night and day difference on my phone that as of now works perfectly. Its more of a refresh than a overhaul of the OS. So I welcome the update when it comes, until then Im more than happy with how this phone performs.

So th EU galaxy S7(E) is getting Nougat as we speak, guess HTC is a bit lacking, i'm wonder what the reason is of this delay, what are the bugs that they didn't release this build back in november... i think that they never get the title back of 'one of the big manufacturers', they'le focus on the vive and the vr market

Totally agree, I updated to lollipop and regretted it, I updated to Marshmallow and still wished I had KitKat on my m8. It will be the same for Nougat for the 10. Nougat will bring more functionality to the 10 but I'm going to stick with the OS that the 10 was designed for, Marshmallow.
