In my old Pixel 2 day I was always able to analyse a picture with Google lense. This option is gone ... How can analyse a taken picture now?

If you are in the viewfinder of the camera, you can click on the screen where you want to "scan" the item and it will try and pick it up.

Works really well on addresses (Web, Street & Email) and phone numbers.

Is is right there

Are you running a beta version? Is your app updated? Are you on a pixel 3?

it's missing in my pixel 3. it's really strange as Google lense is working in the camera app as well in the assistant. I tried to reinstall the photo and Google app but there is no change. really weird as I see to be the only one with this problem.

Have you tried uninstalling Google photos and then running the update again?

I get the info screen
Just curious - the picture that you happened to show the information for looks like it's from a series using the Top Shot feature. Are all of the pictures that you've taken using this option? Perhaps that has something to do with why the Google Lens option isn't shown?
