Where is the May security patch for UK?

It's June now, where's the May security patch? Other countries had it weeks ago, on older devices (S6 & Note 4) this is ridiculous! I have an unlocked S7.

Anyone else in the UK with an S7 got the update yet?

No Update here, UK Unlocked like you. I Hope Samsung don't start with the no updates for 6 mnths like on my S5.

Nothing either yet. On Tesco Mobile (although I believe the phone is not locked to TM), still on April update.

I have contacted Samsung about this, will update as and when I get a reply.

Presumably you guys are all on the Exynos version like me - still on April update here too. I'm actually not fussed about updating for now as I don't notice any major issues. The April update fixed the SD card wake up lag issue I had, so very pleased with that.

In some ways, I'm more concerned that an update will cause problems!

I'm seeing large battery drain from background services such as Android System, Android OS and Google Play Services during standby.

The May security patch is sooo yesterday! :D

The June security patch is included in the latest U.K. unbranded firmware, Product Code BTU, update, G930FXXU1APEQ

Not only that, there's a big jump in the changelist # from the last release, PD3, on #7538748 to this new release on changelist #8206888. (N.B. Samsung do not post actual changelist details.)

Same here, got the update. Shame that they skipped May but good to see at least we got the June patch promptly! :)

Still no update here, Ive noticed the ones getting the updates have G930F, Mines a G935F.

Must be region dependent. I've got the G930F and still on the April update. No word from Samsung?

All depends on your phone's particular Product Code which governs the firmware you receive as there are in excess of 250 different firmwares for the Global, G930F, model alone, worldwide. As per post #8, only Product Code BTU, unbranded U.K. firmware has received it so far.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks ironass, but it doesn't really answer the ultimate question - why are people like me and Alanhd not getting updates?

Is it because our April update already has these fixes? Or is it because of a political/marketing issue? Or is it because Samsung don't like the Product Code models we bought with our hard earned cash?

Alanhd - you mention that you contacted Samsung. I assume you've heard nothing back? Sort of like how we're not "hearing" our phones update?

I got an email back saying they can't give me a date which I find strange, as I pointed out to them it can't be because it's got to be tested by the carriers, as my phone is unlocked.

I know in the grand scheme of things this is not a major issue but it is frustrating when they have released it for other variants.
I was hoping for better support than I had on my S5, updates on that were seen less often than the Loch Ness monster.

Don't forget that each country's official telecommunications bodies also have to pass new firmwares to ensure that they do not conflict or contravene any of their regulations. Normally, this is done very quickly but there are countries that drag their heels on this. Also, each security patch has to be integrated into each country and carriers firmware and the Global model has around 190 different countries and numerous carriers in each. 5 carrier firmwares in the little U.K. alone.
