I'm seeing large battery drain from background services such as Android System, Android OS and Google Play Services during standby.Presumably you guys are all on the Exynos version like me - still on April update here too. I'm actually not fussed about updating for now as I don't notice any major issues. The April update fixed the SD card wake up lag issue I had, so very pleased with that.
In some ways, I'm more concerned that an update will cause problems!
Still no update here, Ive noticed the ones getting the updates have G930F, Mines a G935F.
Must be region dependent. I've got the G930F and still on the April update. No word from Samsung?
Thanks for the info. All depends on your phone's particular Product Code which governs the firmware you receive as there are in excess of 250 different firmwares for the Global, G930F, model alone, worldwide. As per post #8, only Product Code BTU, unbranded U.K. firmware has received it so far.
Thanks ironass, but it doesn't really answer the ultimate question - why are people like me and Alanhd not getting updates?
Is it because our April update already has these fixes? Or is it because of a political/marketing issue? Or is it because Samsung don't like the Product Code models we bought with our hard earned cash?
Alanhd - you mention that you contacted Samsung. I assume you've heard nothing back? Sort of like how we're not "hearing" our phones update?
