My S9+ is still on February security patch and we are almost to May. That will be three months and too long.

I can care less about these patches. If your dumb enough to get a virus on an Android device than you deserve it. I have a old Android tablet and a old Trac phone that hasn't been updated in years and guess what no viruses.

The security updates aren't for viruses, they patch other holes, flaws, and back-doors in Android....

You'd have to take it up with your carrier. The Exynos and as far as I know TMobile at least has the March 22 patch released. So at this point it's not Samsung's fault anymore. I'd expect the April patch for the rest of us at first week of Msy. Samsung is usually 2wks to 1mo late compared to Google, based on my experience for the last 2 years. I am outside of the US though and using Exynos so my updates don't go through all the various hoops yours do.

yes in the US, on AT&T in my case, it does take longer. But still, 3 months is too long. and yes these are no for viruses but for the kind of hacking that bad actors do.

Samsung has been typically one month behind but in this case it's been longer. I have a feeling that they're skipping March to release April in May or just skip straight to May which gives them time to also include performance updates and bug fixes.

You can?

I have the March 1 patch. I am a us unlocked s8+ on AT&T.

I know you guys are talking s9 devices but just giving info that suggests maybe samsung isn't skipping March.

I don't think anyone, in terms of normal users in the wild, has ever gotten a virus on an Android.

So you DO care about security patches, because to care less you would have to care a bit in the first place.
