Where is the send to voicemail option?

Coming from previous android devices there was always an option of sending the call directly to voicemail in the contacts options. I have a contact called do not answer that I add all numbers I want to send to voicemail.

With touchwiz I don't see that option. Am I missing it?

I am using call block from the market but it still rings once before either picking up and hanging up or sending to voicemail. I really miss that option.

Other than rooting and going to stock, is there a way to get this opting enabled again?

yeah I miss this feature off the EVO, see THIS is my point there are so many different manufacture versions of android which strip its true good features, I hate when they take away things, why not just keep adding on???

I use extreme call blocker, that way I am able to send directly to voice mail or just hang up on a number. It also also you to send unknown numbers directly to voice mail, although the user interface isnt the greatest it is better then nothing.

Yes, but the phone does a first ring. It is built into Android natively. Why did Samsung take that option out? This is actually one reason to root my phone and go stock, but need to wait for more options.

I'd say just do what others have said: drag the incoming call to ignore (with or without txt reply). That seems to be the only way presently.

True, but wouldn't it just revert to using voicemail if you just let it ring out?

Yes, but you have to hear it ring. The point of the op is that with the epic there is no send call to voocemail option that is included in magic android an sense enabled devices. My question in why did they remove that awesome functionality?

Worst case, if it's available (I haven't checked), can you choose a "silent" custom ringtone? Or find a short "silent" MP3 and assign it to the contact?

that is what i do. found a silent ringtone and apply whoever i want to ignore.
