AC Question

I have had my new phone a Samsung Galaxy S8 for about a week. I cannot find the voice recorder anywhere. I do not really want to use Bixby . Is that my only choice?

I don't yet have a galaxy s8, but if it's like the S7, you have to download it from the Samsung galaxy App Store

Omg thank u so much, I was going crazy trying to find this too cuz I read that it's already installed in these newer phones but apparently not, THANK YOU!

It's already installed. To unhide it, go to the app launcher screens and find the Samsung folder (grouped apps). Tap in the folder and on the bottom tap add apps. Find voice recorder, select it, then tap add. The icon should now appear in the Samsung folder.

There were lots of complaints about preloaded apps/bloat, so they left some apps on play store for users to install if they wish. I like the idea, should be more of it... ??????

I used it a couple of times, then it was removed during a system update.

What is the name of the exact app so I can find it again? (And please describe the icon so I know I have the right one.)

Thanks a lot!

When I bought my phone last December, the Voice Recorder app was installed. Several months ago, I was forced to accept an update that completely wiped the Voice Recorder from the phone. It is not listed anywhere in the entire phone. Very unhappy about that.

Now I need to find the one that was already there and reinstall it.
