Where on earth are the updates?

Not really. I'm using a dual SIM model and I have the September patch. It's a carrier branded device though, so I typically get the patches 2-4wks late.

I just got the October Patch finally on my Galaxy S7 Dual Sim / International Unlocked version in Dubai!! w00t w00t! Now I can have a party!

I was going to post a similar question. I have a G930F on BTU simfree in the UK.

If I look at Sammobile, Samsung has released 2 updates in March, 1 in April, 1 in July, 1 in Septemeber. They missed May, June, August and October.

Now compare that to the UK Carrier Vodafone. They have an update out every month since March. I thought unlocked was supposed to be first with updates? Not the case with this phone, they release an update every other month.

Probably depends on the local Samsung branch. I mean Samsung develops for unbranded devices, then sends it off to carriers for distribution. Carriers can't have a firmware update if Samsung didn't build for the unbranded ones, because unbranded firmware is what Samsung gives the carriers for them to 'brand'.

Personally I've received an update every month. A bit delayed though since I got the October patch on the last day of October, but monthly nonetheless. Although I am using a carrier branded device.

My last (Verizon) update was Sept 23. I hope the next update fixes the battery problem that I've had since Sept's update!

I just got the October 1st security patch this morning, on November 1st.

930F here in US. I've got every security patch on the 1st day of the month.

And here it is 11/1 and I'm getting the update.

With the F and FD models, you can always flash a different countries firmware.
