So yeah I want to know where I can buy unlocked without any crap from carriers. Last year I bought the S6 Edge with AT&T and i hated just the fact of the internal indeletable bloatware, but later I saw that Target.com was selling them unlocked. Anybody know where?

the unlocked versions are all about switching SIM's from different carriers,IMO it doesn't worth the price difference if you are using only one carrier, the bloatware shouldn't be a problem, you can use the debloater tool form XDA or package disabler pro and disable all carrier bloatware without a problem, i guess the unlocked versions will go on sale later on, or you can request an unlock code and flash with Odin the most unbloated firmware :)

Just a reminder that the Global GSM model will not work on the CDMA networks, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, etc:

I'd get an unlocked one if it hit all of at&t's bands... otherwise i'll probably just try to delete all the at&t bloatware... I think theirs is by far the worst

Can I please get more information regarding to the LTE bands? I'm with AT&T but still I don't wan t the bloatware anyhow. Will it affect me somehow if it doesn't have all bands you guys are mentioning?

Look at the sticky to see what cellular bands att needs.

If it doesn't have all the bands then you might get slower speeds.

Last week at BB, the Samsung rep told me that BB would soon be offering the unlocked int'l version of the GS7...didn't give a more specific time frame.

more importantly.. note that it may be the exynos variant.. so custom roms may be a little difficult to find.. snapdragon variants have had better luck in the past..

Another good source for unlocked phones (domestic & int'l versions) is B and H Photo. They've had GS6's for several months, so it wouldn't be surprising for them to have GS7's in the near future. Might be worth giving them a call. They're a good company.

In fact, the opposite is true!

Up until the Galaxy S6, Samsung only used the Exynos chipset on its non 4G/LTE minority, "H", models. Hence, custom ROMs were hard to come by as these models were for a few emerging markets. However, with the advent of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and S6 Edge+, who are all on the Exynos chipset, globally, there has been a plethora of custom ROMs and mods available. Since the Exynos model is the Global model, once again, in around 190 countries, I see no issues with the Exynos models and rooting/custom ROMs/

On the other hand, the SnapDragon model is now only on the carrier minority variants for the U.S. and China and if AT&T and Verizon pursue the policy that they have, with the S4, S5 and S6, they will, if not at first but in future firmware updates, make these models unrootable. :( :( :(

I will. What's the phone number?
