whether Moto z2 play get pie update?

Can any one knows whether Moto z2 play will get pie update or not? And when?

It's on the Moto official list of phones getting Pie. But when.....no one knows. Moto does not release dates, timelines or estimates. Only which phones will get it and which will not.

But phones like Nokia started receiving pie update. Moto z2 play is one of the flagship phone from Motorola so y don't they consider it first instead of other models like x4.

Probably because they didn't sell nearly as many Z2 Plays worldwide as they did the X4. It's just a theory. But it's coming eventually. I just hope it doesn't kill the phone and affect battery life, like the second OS update is known to do

The play is a flagship? Not in what most consider in that category. Still a good phone.

I'm going to say...not anytime soon. My Z2 Play on Verizon just got the update to Oreo this past January.

My original z play droid got it last year sometime. On Verizon.

I don't think all Moto Z3 models in all regions have received Pie yet. I think the rollout has started for some Z3 users. Until the Z3 fully has Pie we will still be waiting. The newer model always gets the OS updates first. I think we have a bit longer to wait.

Actually that's not always the case w Moto phones.
I had original Z Play and Z2 plays (both factory unlocked versions) and Z Play got the Oreo few months before Z2 play.

True, in that case it did. I had one of each phone at that time frame. That's not their norm though, normally Moto always updates the newer phones first
