Which chromebook should I buy?

Hello. I'm looking for something thin, lightweight, and preferably no more than $300. I'd also love one that's aluminum. I'm a writer, so that's what my main use would be. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Take a look at the Acer R11 (C738T), which is an 11.6" convertible Chromebook that can fold up to act as a tablet. It has Android app support, is relatively small and light, and has an aluminum cover. Given your well-stated needs and desires, I totally second B. Diddy on the R11 (C738T). I'm also a writer (and data analyst) with an R11 CB5-132T which serves all my word and number needs and then some. But my model is substance over style, with a naff white plasticky chassis and a relatively chunky form factor. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I was looking at that same Acer R11 Chromebook when I got to investigating the Lenovo Flex 11. I like that it has 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It actually lasts all day (about 11 hours w/screen turned down to 50%). It's rugged; keyboard is remarkable for the price; the pad is perfect! All in all, for $259 you can't beat this one. It's also has the ability to fold into a tablet and more; resists spills on keyboard and pad, up to a cup of liquid. It's a winner.
