Which custom rom should I use for my Verizon LG G3?

Re: Verizon LG G3 - Custom ROM Options

Also, Verizon is the WORST carrier EVER for the way that they handle the hardware their customers use. They are notoriously slow with updates, and they lock down everything as best they can on the software side. That being said, I did everything I could as quickly as possible to hack my LG G3 and I couldn't be happier. CHEERS

Agreed. I did the same as you, although I am using bumped TWRP on a KitKat ROM, Hello Jasmine 3.0. Although I am looking to move to something else. Or at least try out a Lollipop ROM.

I managed to work out the bluetooth issue. I think it was more my speaker than anything else and I continue to have a good experience with Illusion.

How did you root it? My vs985 has some sort of patch not allowing root access

I had to flash back to the original 10B release first, then stump root performed the rooting.

Check my opening post in this thread for a link to the instructions I used.

Ouch! Hopefully I don't come across that one!

How are you finding illusion? What are you seeing as the major differences between it an RR?

Sorry for such a late reply, been very busy the past week. But if your still wondering, to be honest, there isn't that much of a difference in Illusion and RR. One thing i do wish Illusion had though was where you could change the DPI (i believe that's what it is. Or the display density, whatever makes it to where everything appears smaller, like your using a tablet in a way). It allows you to fit much more on the screen than normal

I do know that RR had an update a few days ago, so I'm sure the calling issue has been fixed, but honestly, i haven't ran into a single problem with Illusion yet. It is very fast and smooth, and it is one of most feature rich lollipop ROMs for the g3 in my opinion. Would highly recommend flashing it if you still haven't decided on what ROM to go with!

Thanks for your reply! I installed the Illusion ROM a while ago now and am very happy with it. RR was nice, but I got frustrated with not being able to switch SELinux to permissive for Xposed.

Glad to see you're liking it!

Speaking of Xposed, what are the best modules to download for it? I just flashed installed it recently and don't really know what all to download.

Sorry chime in on your conversation. some of the modules i use are:
Amplify- Saves your battery from google services
Greenify (boost mode)- to hibernate apps that are less frequently used (dont hibernate apps that you constantly use)
Crappalinks- removes those redirects when you select a link
Secure settings- for some of the Tasker profiles
Burnt Toast- shows the icon of the app in the toast

Some of these are not fully working with xposed for lollipop yet.

While I root as soon as I can, I have moved away from ROMs. The stock always runs the best. Just freeze the Bloatware. My opinion and it might differ from others on the site.

This is why opinion on what is "best" has a vast definition encompassing many different schools of thought. The way I use my phone is surely different than the majority, which requires a higher level of customization only attainable through a custom ROM.

You may find as you change your habits and usage that the stock experience will soon become a hurdle in a lot of ways. This is typical of users who become more and more critical of specifics when utilizing additional features and applications on their phones.

Re: Verizon LG G3 - Custom ROM Options

So I followed the downgrading instructions and everything went fine until my computer didn't show the ports in the device manager
