which extended battery is best?

+1 for VZW, it's got the most mAh's I believe.
I saw 20-30% increase which means with normal usage i'm not charging until I go to sleep.

I just bought another regular battery. Again here on AC Store for about $20 and they have a phone cradle with an extra battery charging spot on it for about $15. The two together are great. I charge both batteries over night and take them both with me everyday.

I have both the verizon and the siedio. They both work well, but the verizon one has a bit more juice. Even with the extended back, I've yet to find a case it doesn't work with (siedio, kraken, otterbox and a verizon one)

I have the Verizon battery as well. Its a noticeable difference in how long my phone lasts. As far as the thickness goes it really isn't noticeable at all

I am a big fan of stock batteries. I suggest the extended motorola battery.

Do some research and you will find most non-oem batteries are not that good and often damn near a scam.

I do have the moto extended battery and it is awesome. Works with car and home dock.

Seido makes good stuff. Have some of their batteries for my BB and they worked great. Someone I know got an extended battery for their DINC and they notice the battery rarely goes down throughout the say.

Battery testing shows seido batteries to rarely be any better and to lose charges faster over time.

I was just looking at the gorillagadgets 3500 battery w /door. They are out of stock but it made me wonder if its any better than the Seido 2600 I just ordered off here yesterday....

@jerseyboy357

What Gorilla Battery are you talking about? I can't find a 3500mAh for the Droid X. Can you post a link to it?

WOW! That is a good looking battery! This is what the 2600mAh Seidio should have been.

It says it is in stock now... I might just buy one. $24.99 is a steal.

yea thats the only thing that bothers me is the low price but for that low price maybe its a hidden gem. i still may get it once my seido 2600 arrives. just in case it turns out to be bunk.

Yah, the price is a little scary. It makes me think it is a joke, even if it does list an MSRP of $50.99 but then again $25 is worth the gamble for a 3500/3800mAh battery.

Think about it, you could be watching movies on this thing all the way from your house to the airport and through check-in, boarding, flight to Australia, landing, bag claim, customs and then the ride to the hotel. :p

For $25, I might take that gamble. But none of my accessories will work. Like my desktop dock and car dock.

Screw it....Everyone, I call you to battery battle. We ALL buy the Gorilla. We will keep this thread open to post comparison results against whichever extended battery we normally have. Also cuz then we can walk around with a fat X and tell people, "yea... I got a gorilla in my X" haha

I think that is a great idea. We should post our phone settings and preferences to common battery draining activities like:

Screen brightness:
Screen timeout:
GPS On or Off:
Wi-Fi On or Off:
Bluetooth On or Off:
Vibrate/Haptic Feedback:
Battery Saver Mode:
Task Killers if Applicable:

Then we should post the battery statistics (standby, running programs…), data count (3G), and talk time (2G) from a 24 hour period of time for each battery we own.

Screen brightness: Auto
Screen timeout: 30 seconds
GPS On or Off: off
Wi-Fi On or Off: off
Bluetooth On or Off: off normally
Vibrate/Haptic Feedback: off
Battery Saver Mode: nighttime
Task Killers if Applicable: android task killer, no auto kill or anything. Just have it to close out apps that do not close out all the way WHEN my phone starts to lag. I use it maybe once a day or once every other day. But just good to have.

Battery gets me though most of the day. 7am-9pm on moderate usage and to midnight with light usage. About 7am-4pm on heavy usage

I'm usually checking engadget and here. Do about 80-180 sms a day, 3 gmail accounts and one corporate sync.

jist ordered my gorilla battery. ive used up and recharged+2hrs twice so far on my seido 2600 and im gettin about a 10% drain per hour according to my battstat widget w my usual use of tapatalk, messaging, no wifi, and the usual running widgets like weather cpu. and some downloading.
