Smart keyboard pro for me too. I like the compact QWERTY mode in portrait. It makes the typing experience that much more enjoyable.

SwiftKey always wins in the surveys of paid keybaord and has a 30 day trial. Swype is a popular stock keyboard. Most people use whatever keyboard came on their phone never knowing they can change it.

I recently picked up ThumbKeyboard as Amazon's App of the Day. I haven't tried any others so not offering a comparison to anything but Stock on my TBolt. I really like it. It's a bit funky with a split keyboard in portrait mode but in landscape my speed and accuracy have greatly improved in less than 2 weeks.

I like Thumb Keyboard, too. Trying Flex T9 right now. It's pretty good. Has Swype functions and good voice recognition. Swiftkey is great for next word prediction but the new X version has really small fonts on the keys and also in the word prediction boxes. I liked the old version better and still have the apk if anyone wants it.

You didn't put the ETAOI one! Have a look if you like it! it's different from the other...cheers

I'm now using the stock keyboard for the EVO 3d. Works great and I haven't had any freezes or unresponsive keypads. I didn't even realize before that it has some nice options & features.

The moment Graffiti showed up in Android Market I started using it. Works fine and is really fast for me, reminds me old PalmOS times :)

I've been using SwiftKey pro for about 6 months and love it.It takes time though. Just when I was thinking it was just ok, it all started coming together. The memory's record of my habits started kicking into action and I realized that if I stopped trying to be so precise with my typing, started typing faster and letting the suggestions guide me, my accuracy rate and speed started to meet and probably exceed those on my old BlackBerry keyboard. The trick is to really "break in" the keyboard. I hope that makes sense. I'd tried most of the other popular keyboards and this is the one that actually moved me from hating virtual keyboards to preferring them!

I too am using SwiftKey Pro for about a year now, but i still don't see the accuracy with the suggestions which you seem to be getting. It has saved me a lot of keystrokes though.

smart keyboard is good. but it can be really laggy sometimes, when typing fast, especially when vibrate is on. anyone else experienced this?
