I went from an HTC Hero to the Samsung Moment for the keyboard and AMOLED screen. It was a good phone overall, but cannot compare to this bad boy.

3 weeks until I can get rid of my laggy Hero, can not go fast enough. I will be picking up the Shift mainly for size I think. I also want to get a Xoom and if I went with the EVO not sure I could justify it while I have a 4.3" screen...The keyboard will be a welcome addition as well.

Finally updating my Centro. I've been in love with Android for years (and use a G1 when I travel out of the country) but haven't been able to get one due to the type of contract I have with Sprint. They changed that for me so now I'll finally be able to get out from under PalmOS!

My centro knows its time is coming, for the past 4 days the screen has been blanking out randomly...never had that happen before last week.

She was a good phone but up till a few weeks(right when the unofficial date was released for the Shift) my keyboard started to crap up really bad. Good thing I got the virtual keyboard for my phone or I'd be outta a phone.....good thing I'm changing over to the Shift tomorrow morning

I'm switching over from a Hero to the Shift. Prior to my hero I had a Samsung Moment and hated the lag and poor life on that thing. Non-Android was a BB 8300 which I loved, Palm 700 I loved and a Pixi which was just junk.

I really do love my Hero too and will most likely hold onto it as a back up (root project?).

Really liked messing with the Shift in the store and can't wait for mine to arrive.

I am test running the Shift right now...I just switched from my Hero running froyo on CM6 usin setcpu overclocked to 7.6 mhz. It was pretty screaming I was enjoying the crap out of it. But After seeing this guy running at nearly 60 fps I was almost sold...I have been eyeing the EVO for a loooooooong time, so its all about test drives right now, performance tests blah blah blah...but I think I found my new home. Oh and before the Hero I had a BB curve. Android = Win!

This'll be my 1st Android phone; been on WinMo for ages and not impressed enough w/ WP7 to go that route yet. Current phone is TP2, and I'm not exactly dying to switch, but after having played around with a few droid tablets and my wife's Evo, I think I'm ready to give it a go. The keyboard, d-pad, compact size (vs Evo), app/hack availabilty, fast CPU and 4G capability won me over...in theory, at least. Will have mine tomorrow; let the fun begin...I hear Angry Birds calling ;-)

Switched two days ago from the Blackberry Tour to the EVO Shift. After only two days I am wondering how I lived with that "toy" phone from Blackberry for so long Couldn't be happier with the Shift! The thing that really blows my mind is how much better the Shift is than the Tour when it comes to battery life.

I switched from the Optimus S to the Evo Shift 4g because my Optimus broke. I actually had the first Evo 4G and think I might actually go back to it because I like the bigger size and the FFC of the Evo 4g.

mytouch was awesome phone but t-mo just sucks toooooo much!
The optimus was...eh it was ok, but i love me some actual keyboard to type on. And a flash with the camera. And come on, just look at the shift, why wouldnt i choose it. Its amazing!!!

I had a bb 8350i with the nextel two way radio and i must say not sure how i livied without the andriod platform this long this evo shift really is a bad ass phone very pleased with it so far

Switching from Palm Pre (bc its my 6th Pre since launch day). I will probably just use this as a holdover and see what Sprint/HP announce in February. Taking advantage of my 30 days.

Switched from an Evo to the Shift mainly for the hardware keyboard. i type to fast for a soft keyboard. I love it and cant see any reason to get anything other than a Shift.

Coming to android from the Sprint Blackberry curve 8330. It is totally nice to have a phone that is really fast and responsive. I'll probably stick with android for as long as I did the blackberry. There will probably be something newer by then anyway.

Coming from the EVO mostly because I wanted something different also it was time for my wife to get a new phone she has has a Hero for a very long time her line was ready for an upgrade. So she gets my EVO and I get the new shift.

I traded my Epic in for the Evo Shift. The Epic was a good phone, but it lagged and had so many force closures, it just got real irritating. After all the reviews I've read of the Evo Shift, I took the chance and returned my Epic on day 30. Plus, Best Buy Mobile, price matched Walmart.com (89.99). I was able to get back more than $100 for a superior phone (IMO).
