Droid 2

I've been using the BN Curve 8330. I loved it but was so excited to get my D2. To say the least, now that I have it I am totally overwhelmed by all the awesome apps, the versatility and convenience. Really hoping to use it to it's fullest.... Looking for some great advice and tips, I have so much to learn!!!!

Im coming from an eris. Main selling points was the keyboard, missed it every since my blackberry curve. And the fact that I dont have to wait 5 minutes for my phone to actually do anything unlike the incredibly slow eris.

Wife is a big Star Wars fan. Switched to DROID 2 R2D2. Used to sport a Blackberry Storm 2 and wife had a Curve.

So far wife loves the DROID.

I'm still getting used to it. I miss not being able to set specific notification sounds for my SMS contacts and E-Mail accounts. I guess it will take some getting used to.

Leaving many OSs for the Droid2

Well, I've been a long time blackberry user. Had many of them. Also many iphones (including iphone4). I am currently using a Sony-Ericsson W760. Its nice for a dumbphone, but bad on call quality. Bought my wife a Droid1, a while back. It's been great for her. Now I just ordered a Droid2, for me. Got it for $40! No mail-in-rebate BS or anything. No tax and free shipping! I'm not trying to promote the business where I bought the phone from, but I'm very excited about the phone and anxiously waiting.

Windows Mobile - Samsung Omnia for me. Had a Samsung SCH-i730 before that. I miss my keyboard. Though, I installed swype keyboard and it is much better. Getting very tired of the resistive touch screen though. New Every Two is next month. Can't wait!

Ditched the Storm1 for an R2-D2 Droid2

I had a Storm1 since it launched and I loved it. Since switching to my Droid2 I haven't looked back.

I just switched from the BlackBerry Bold 9000. I wanted to get a great Android device on a better network. One thing that frustrated me about my Bold was that to install the 5.0 OS on it, I had too shrink the OS which means I had to delete some features from my phone. It also meant that I couldn't download a bunch of apps. I wanted to be able to download the apps I wanted and not worry so much about the application memory. I also wanted a keyboard along with the touchscreen. I didn't want the Torch because I wanted to do a little more on the multimedia side. So now that I have my Droid2, I'm really happy.
