Which phone are you upgrading to (if you are)?

hmmm....yeah, I'm almost wondering if it would be a better idea to preorder with next day shipping. I have a couple gift cards to spend so i don't mind dishing out for extra shipping. i just get this feeling that VM is holding this phone tight and that we won't see it anywhere before the 31st.

If you need to be the 1st on your block to have one then yeah just do it..

Just got my Galaxy Nexus today and am eager to use it on Tmobile. Hopefully I will at least get some semblance of a signal at work...

Let me know how you like it. I'm still considering the Straight Talk route. From what I've read, no one's service has actually been cut off for excessive data usage. Still 80% sure I'm going with the Evo though.

I'm thinking of the T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit II 4G on Straight Talk. Walmart and Amazon has it for $189. The Straight Talk SIM is $15.

Leslie, any leads in your neck of the woods? I plan on calling Target stores again this afternoon, but so far no dice.

Nothing new.
I'm going to start calling around tom. and fri.
My plan re-ups the 27th so I would like to do it that same day.

I have noticed that people are saying that upgrading to the Evo V will cost them their $25/month deal but the link below says that existing customers can keep their plans even if they upgrade their phones.

Yeah, I am going to give the stores until next Tuesday. If they don't show up anywhere by then, I'll preorder on Wednesday.

bizjournals mobile: Kansas City: Sprint’s Virgin Mobile will raise fees on many unlimited plans

This was from last year, the fear was people on the $25 that had the Intercept going to OV or had the OV and going to Triumph would lose their old plans, Virgin said they would allow them to keep the plans. Today we are in the same position but regarding newer phones.

I posted a screenshot of the Virgin website with the new rule. If you happen to pay for the $25 plan and then buy the EVO you will be charged $35 again the 27th of May and that will be your new rate.

Here is the screenshot with the phones you can use to keep the old plan.

If you have to prepay for it then I would make sure you get it canceled before it ships. Or you will have to do a refusal of shipment and/or send it back. Then get VM/RS to refund. I dont think they will do refunds on internet pre-orders in store.

One question I have is what the return policies are. I've decided to get the Evo 3d over the nexus because I simply trust VM over Straight Talk. Do I have 30 days of let's say I get the phone and don't really care for it?

Yep. That's exactly why I'm waiting until next Tuesday to preorder just in case the phone starts showing up in stores before that. I've seen many cases (Madden for example) where the people that preorder end up receiving the item after everyone else.

Thanks for the update. The cell phone landscape is constantly changing and it is great to have forums like this to get the word out and keep the record straight.
