which rom would you recomend

And six threads down from this one, happens to be this thread!

That's a good place to get started.

Most any ROM will give you better battery life. I find it's less related to the ROM, and more related to how to use it. Be sure to configure your account/sync settings, and then try setCPU.

To be honest, there's no magic bullet because it depends on how you use your phone. For example, if you don't use the Sense launcher or widgets, I would suggest going with a HTC/Sense removed ROM or even Cyanogen. The advantage of Cyanogen is that is has a lot less overhead than HTC based ROMs with Sense removed. Less overhead means, less stuff going on in the background and that translates into nominally more battery life.

So, perhaps if you described how you use your phone, and what you consider to be key features (like 4G?) this would help us with making a recommendation.

I don't use 4g at all because its not available in my area yet. I text alot and use the internet alot on my phone right now I have all my syncs set to manual or the lowest amount of syncs allowed i use a stock 1500 mah battery and it last about 10 hours for me right now. I like sense but if going to a rom that doesn't run sense make my phone more efficient ....yeah I'm all about it

Check out CynaogenMod 6.1.2 - it's a rom based off of google's android code directly, so it hasn't been touched by HTC/Sprint. Pretty fast and highly customizable.

I say stock. Its legal. No grwy areas with whats packaged with it.
