Hey Lefty Drummer,
Sorry to bother you again, but I'm almost done getting all the way back and I have reached out to Beans directly but have not gotten any response from him. I have finished using Odin to get back to MJE as mentioned, and have now also re-rooted, reinstalled SafeStrap 3.65 and I'm about to flash KK (NC4) but Beans new instructions are not very clear, I think he is leaving out a few small steps that if done incorrectly could be problematic. His instructions are:
Retail Instructions
Coming From NC2/MJE
Step- 1 - Make sure you are on any rooted rom running safestrap
Step- 2 - Boot into Safestrap Select Stock Slot
Step- 3 - Wipe Data Factory Reset The Stock Slot
Step- 4 - Flash nc4 deodex rom to the stock slot
Step- 5 - Reboot into Download mode From Safestrap
Step- 6 - Flash NC2/NC4 Updated! Firmware/Bootloader Package Here
Step- 7 - You will Boot into a Stock Deodex rom with Root, Busybox, Init.d, Selinux Permissive, Insecure Modules!!
Step- 8 - Install new safestrap and wait for roms Here
However, he completely left out all the small steps to setting up Odin (maybe thinking everyone knows what to select), but considering all the trouble I've had, I don't want to get this far and check or uncheck the wrong thing in Odin and screw up something! Therefore, I'm assuming in Step 4 that I should only check "Auto Reboot" and "PDA"? Also in Step 6, with him calling it both a "Firmware/Bootloader Package" should I again check "Auto Reboot" and "Bootloader" and use the bootloader box/option, or should I still check "PDA" and use the PDA box/option? I'm finding it confusing since he's calling it BOTH "Firmware" and "Bootloader"...which one am I flashing it as???
I'm assuming that clicking just one "wrong" little box can ruin EVERYTHING since that's how I got in this mess in the first place, by checking that one extra box (the clean "System" box) in Safestrap's recovery as you have thankfully now pointed out to me, so now I am being extra, extra careful.
