which video play on nook color is better

I have a handset that can record 320*240 videos. I know 854*480 can be well played on Nook Color, but whether the 320*240 movies which recorded by my handset can also be played on it? If can, I can directly play them on my NC without any conversion.

I didn't tested the video. but i think all can be played on Nook Color. but the quality of 320*240 won't too good. perhaps u can use a video converter and increase bitrate, perhaps the quality will get better.

First remember that changing the bitrate won't really increase the quality of the video but make it bigger in size depending on the encoder software.

It you want to go with the higer Res and higher bitrate settings find a way to get better source material.

As far as what will play. I think the requirements are .mp4/h.264 with stereo audio encoded at 44khz. That has worked great for me as I use my nook as a media player for my daughter.

according to your settings, just maintain the bitrate adn resolution, and convert video to mp4, h.264 with stereo audio encoded at 44khz. this can be played in full screen? 854*480 can be played in full screen, but i doubt if 320*240 can also be played in full screen?

i guess 320 x 240 is not good. but I have one question. because i am thinking about buying a Nook color. will nook color can play 720p videos? i usually set it on my galaxy tab. it plays perfectly.

Nook Color doesn't support 720p. I generally set to 854 * 480 in my Nook, the resolutin is when I bought the software they recommended parameters. the video played fine on my Nook Color.
Once, the converted video sound is very low. i emailed their customer service. They are very enthusiastic to help me. they told me to adjust the sound of original video with the tool, i just do this. it really works well.

the resolution of nook color display screen is 1024*600, so i think 320*240 can't be played on nook color in full screen.

just use a tool to adjust the resolution from 320*240 to 854*480, all are ok!

thanks, i have try, but i found converters can not make 320x240 videos loooks well, I think the problem can not be solve use converter.
