I need a new phone but I'm at a fork in the road. I want WP8 but none of the current or upcoming crop excite me at all. So that leaves hemroid... I'm sure you can tell I just don't care for it. I am willing to try it so I can get my hands on the PadFone2 but the more I read about it, I just don't know. From what I'm reading hemroid sounds like a cobbled together hot mess! The impression I'm getting is everybody and his uncle takes this OS and does what they please with it. Reminds me of the old saying, "Too many cooks spoil the soup!". So is it really as bad as all that?

There's always Blackberry, assuming they don't implode, and I believe Nokia are still supporting Symbian 3, currently topped by their Pureview808 phone (the one with 40+ megapixels).

Or buy a Nexus device. Pure, undiluted Android.

And no, not everyone messes with Android. My tablet runs a virtually untouched ICS. Cooking ROMs and such might be a hot mess, but running the stock OS is fine.

I'm definately gonna go with WP8 or the Padfone2 but if you say Android isn't a buggy as I've heard then I'm willing to give it a look. Either way I won't be making a decision until everyone brings there new devices out. I figure this will happen around January so I'll continue to gather info. Thanks
