for those who experienced both the Note 7, and the Note 8: which do/did you like better and why ?

I love the screen on the boot I loved the way the felt in my hands and the look of the blue 7.

I loved my 7(s), but the 8 is a better/cooler phone.

Although I did like the coral blue color a lot...

It's a tie. I would have to say a slight edge possibly to the Note 7. I love the way it felt in my hand with a case on and it seemed easy to write on. I like infinity screen, but I loved the design of the Note 7 overall. I would take a note 7 over an S8 Plus though.

I loved the way it felt in hand. it's was like it was part of me and not something I held. I don't have that feeling with my N8. I also loved the design of the N7. it was my favorite one so far, and the N8 is something to be reckoned with. just shows you how good the N7 really was.

I really liked the N7 overall. Beautiful design, fit in your hand well, and the back hid fingerprints well. But I do love the display on the 8. And after using an iPhone 7+, it's honestly not much of a difference in physical size at all. Easily got used to it

After going up to two people who are hardcore iPhone drones and showing them the note and them drooling over the screen... I want to say that I've have a better appreciation for the Note 8, over the Note 7... The Note 7 [after owning every iteration other than the FE] was a well needed update to that of the Note 5 and the lack of features that it had... But the Note 8 comes with that extra punch, and even though I wanted deep sea blue for mine, the midnight black is doing well, and I can't wait to see what the Note 9 brings to the table.

Software/hardware advances aside, there was something about the N7. It fit so beautifully in the hand. Can't explain it beyond that. Love my N8 but my N7 was an amazing phone.

I don’t have my Note 8 yet but I’ve had a chance to play with a couple store display models. From what I keep seeing reported the Note 8 has pretty decent battery life and the battery was the one thing I didn’t like about the Note 7. Note 7 was a beauty, but I feel that the Note 8 looks every bit as nice. A tough call for sure but for something so close to being a tie I’ll go with the Note 8 based on battery reports. Once I get mine, if something changes I’ll edit my response.

You guys that think the 7 was better. Good lord, move on. You just want what you can't have, and what was taken away.

I prefer the 7. It felt better in hand, loved the coral or as I called it Carolina blue and the camera was better. This camera is good but has a lot of grain in low light that I didn't see in other recent Samsung phones. Also some pics are blurry and take a few attempts...again an issue I haven't seen with other recent Samsungs that I have owned. I look forward to the camera update and can't wait to see what it brings.

And I wish that if they released 4 colors that no matter where you are or what carrier you have you could pick which one you wanted. I LOVE blue and would have choosen that over the orchid

I absolutely love the note 8 compared to the 2 weeks I had with the note 7 last year. 8 is much faster, bigger screen. I was disappointed in how small the screen on the 7 was compared to my note 4 it was going to replace. I also like how the curved edges on the screen aren't too curved on the 8 compared to the 7. The curve was always a major problem when using the s Pen to "smart select" something near the edge of the screen.

I mourned my damn Note 7. Then I got my Note 8. I definitely Love the One I'm With (more!) <3

The Note 8. The very fact that it won't explode is better than anything on the Note 7.

Plus, the iris scanner is better, as well as the dual cameras, the extra RAM, infinity display...

Note 8 by a long margin, I for one like the new ones better always especially in tech. Also, I'm open and encourage OEMs to change/experiment with new ideas both on software/hardware. Tend to get bored with same stuff.
