while playing a you tube video there is lots of lag when typing on another app

This phone would have been so much better with 6 GB ram. Not a prime time player with multitasking.

This begs the questions : Why stop at an arbitrary number like 6? What recently changed with videos that all of sudden 4GB is underwhelming?
Maybe it's your particular device or other software you have running in the background that's causing issues. 4GB of RAM is quite a bit for a cell phone. I have a Pixel, iphone, Samsung and LG devices with anywhere from 3 to 8 GB of RAM but most of them with 4 and none of them lag when typing and watching a video though that's something I rarely do except to test it.

4GB absolutely is enough for YouTube and 4k videos to play smooth. If your having issues with either then I agree might be a rogue app draining all the resources.

My note never has lag when it comes to using the keyboard or anything to do with multitasking.

For me the last 5 years cameras have been a priority for me because I have a 5 and 3 year old so I'm always snapping pics of them.
oh I hear you! I might not have kids yet, but snapping picture of anything I love such as cars makes me feel like a hero since they all look like paintings haha

I completely wholeheartedly agree! 4 gigs is way more enough for HD 4K video to play smoothly! If you're still having issues, you might want to start up and safe mode and see if you have a bad app as suggested and go from there.

The video wasn't the issue. It was lag with the keyboard.
