White LG Nexus 4 requires hard push with Stylus pen

I've had the N4 barely a week and have few complaints; it's very responsive to finger contact. However, using the keyboard with a soft tip Stylus pen requires a hard push. By comparison, Stylus pen use with the Nexus 7 tablet is Ok with a lighter touch. Both devices run on OS 4,2 Jelly Bean.

Any ideas? Thanks

Crappy stylus pen maybe. Most touchscreens nowadays touch screens work through electrostatic waves/disturbances.

Yes, the Stylus pens are cheapies from China. Can you recommend a good stylus pen?

It glides over the screen with very little friction, and the screen respond very well to its input. Not to mention that it's very precise. My mom uses one every single day on her iPad, and it's pretty awesome.

There is a review on various stylus pens for the iPad here. Maybe they'll work with the Nexus 4 as well?
