"white wash" on wallpaper - Pixel Launcher?

I use the Nova Prime launcher isntead of the stock Android launcher.
Nova Prime allow you to turn that feature ON and OFF for better readability.
Where in Nova Prime settings is this toggle/feature? Is it the Show shadow toggle at the bottom of the Desktop options?

Try it out
Actually, I did. But since I use a dark wallpaper, I noticed no difference. To be honest, I barely noticed any difference between the before & after screen captures above. So I'm still not 100% certain that the Show Shadow toggle is the correct setting. It's just the only one I could find that might be related to this "white wash" phenom.

The difference is readily apparent in full resolution but Android Central compresses images so much you can't see it.

Actually the Show Shadow toggle is really only useful when the background image has a very light colored top/bottom area like the top of the example I used.

Try it with one of your own light colored images.
No thanks. I was just asking for clarification. I mean, if there were a toggle in Nova settings labeled "No More White Wash," there'd be no question. But if the "Show Shadow" toggle is the feature you were alluding to above, then it's all good.

OK. It's good that Nova doesn't whitewash the home screen like the stock launcher does.
