Whitestone Dome on Note 9

Just installed the whitestone dome screen protector on my note 9. First time for me. Had an air bubble that I was able to work out. Overall I'm very impressed with it. Feels just like the original glass. No screen sensitivity issues whatsoever. Will never be able to go back to anything less on curved screens in the future.

Don't know from personal experience but what I've read is that it doesn't really leave any adhesive behind once you pop the protector off.

Thanks. If that's the case I might consider it. Just waiting for more feedback.

Just installed Whitestone. First time to use one. I watched several videos ahead of time and went pretty smooth. Only issue I had was trying to get little pieces of glue stuck at top. otherwise love the feel. did not have to turn on touch sensitivity.

Turn the sensitivity up in settings. I have no issues what so ever. You will need to do this with any glass protector.

I’ve never turned up the sensitivity settings with Whitestone or any other total glass adhesive protector and have never had sensitivity issues.

Installed this screen protector on my wife's Note 9 I don't use screen protectors personally, went on well but noticed it is shows finger prints big time. You can see every little touch way worse than on mine which has no screen protector. That's the first thing she noticed about it this morning when she said the screen gets dirty easy now. It's really annoying and most likely will take it off and trash it. sucks cause these screen protectors are not cheap..

I believe the only real thing that prevents fingerprints on glass is the oleophobic coating that is put on the glass itself. Eventually this coating rubs off so even if you naked, supposedly that coating will wear off eventually. I thought there was some level of coating on the screen protector, thought.

But you’d really take it off just because of the appearance of fingerprints?

Someone in another thread claimed he had sensitivity issues that resolved after he removed the Whitestone.

Wow, that’s interesting. I’ve only had issues with protectors that are not flat against the screen - such as those that don’t adhere with the whole glass. That seems to make sense. Very odd!

0 sensitivity issues for me with white stone dome. works as a naked screen for me

I just put this on my new Note 9. Once it is on I think it is the best tempered glass protector. I give it 3 stars because of the installation. I am glad it came with 2 protectors. I followed the videos on YouTube. My first issue was with the cotton absorption strips they give. THEY DON'T FIT IN THE INSTALLER. When I forced it in, the phone kept turning back on because they pressed the on button. There are plastic bumps in the installer that will not allow them to lay in. I laid the glass on the installer and pulled the tab it rests on. The glass falls onto the glue. Worked great except the glass was way too low on the phone over hanging the phone. There was glue everywhere under the phone. Took a bit to wipe it off with the included alcohol wipes. I had to take the glass off and could not re-place it. With my 2nd protector attempt same thing with the glue all over but I manipulated the glass to get it where i wanted. This caused more glue to spill all over. However, once I cleaned it up AGAIN. The glass is on perfect. No bubbles, looks great and fits in my Caseology case. So I do recommend this. BUT it is not simple.

Sounds disastrous. I don't want glue of any kind anywhere close to my phone, no thanks!

I've had a Pixel xl for, what? Two years? And many, many phones before then. So, I'm behind the times. Have things changed? We didn't used to have to adhesive even with glass screen protectors. Is glue my only choice now?

I always buy extended warranties and often go without a screen protector but when I do it's tempered glass. Nothing but. None of this glue stuff. If a glass screen protector won't do the trick I simply don't use one and know my extended warranty is there is I need it.

Bought the two pack and installed mine, for my purple 512gb, and later again for my husband's phone. I never do screen protectors. I always mess them up, this was really easy though. Even I did it perfectly my first time. As long as you follow the instructions, and even watch YouTube videos, it should be fine. How anyone could possibly mess this up is beyond me.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've read lots and seen several YouTube videos on the application. I'm still not brave enough to try. :/
