I like the idea of having different scenes, but being the picky and perfectionist person that i am, i find myself creating/organizing one Scene perfectly, and never switching to any others.

Those who use different Scenes, can you explain the scenario's that you are in that cause you to use this feature??

I have a racy background (hot girl) I use for my home background wallpaper.

I use a different (staid) scene for work: also I put in the apps I use for work & get rid of all the non-work-related apps so I can be more productive.

I dont have my Incredible yet - should by later today - but I've been curious about scenes, aside from Wallpapers and icon placements - can you set ringtones and alerts for each scene?

I used to have a different scene for home and work, but like you said...I'm too much of a perfectionist and just tweaked one and stick with it all of the time. The only main difference was having Google Finance widgets instead of things like music control widgets, and I sit in front of a computer all day so if I wanted to check Google Finance I can just do it there.

I still have 2 scenes though - the one that I use 90% of the time, and then one that I call my "low power" scene. It only takes up 3 screens and they aren't even full - just the apps that I use most frequently, the power control widget, and NO other widgets (aside from a clock) to try to reduce battery drain. I'm not sure how much this scene actually saves battery life, but at least I know I'm trying.

It took me about a month but I finally teamed my scenes just right so I us one for school with all my medical apps, one for home and one for weekends with different apps I find myself using. I do have some apps and widgets in all scenes though, like sticky notes.

I use different ones.

This has probably been answered, but how the heck can you delete scenes? I have like 5 extra ones that I made but don't ever use, and I want to get rid of them.

I started playing around with having different scenes, but I always end up just going back to my primary one. It works pretty well for me, I have the email app on one, friend stream on another, a page of my most used apps, another with some settings stuff like wifi and gps, another for the music player. I actually have a blank page still, so I guess I have yet to fill up a whole scene let alone trying to use multiple scenes.

Anyone know if the various scenes can 'remember' settings like ringer volume, Alarm volume, accessory on/off, Sync , etc?
I'm still learning but that would be a good reason for me to use different scenes.

Oh and btw not being able to delete the factory scenes is quite annoying. wait maybe I can save over them, hmmm.... lemme see. DRAT!!! No of course I shouldn't be able to save one of my custom scenes as "Play", why would I ever want to do that! Arggghhhh.

having separate scenes with various layouts is too much for my brain to process.

once I've setup my phone the way i like, i don't tend to change much (aside from wallpaper and maybe a widget or two) because finding something becomes second nature since it's always in the same place for me.

glad some people are using them though :)

All of my scenes have a very similar layout. I basically just have different scenes for my different sports teams :)

Didn't know you could have different scenes... just use the one, laid out for optimal use so I know where things I need are. Currently only using 5 screens. The 6th I use for testing but normally it is blank.

Is it possible to change the scenes based on time of day? For example if I wanted to change to my weekend theme on Saturday 9:00am.

Woo my phone should be here tomorrow....

I haven't had the need for any additional scenes. I don't really use too many apps or widgets, so I've been fine with only 3 screens used and might even be able to knock it down to 2.

Took me a couple weeks of constantly tweaking / OCD'ing to get the right set up... then, on a whim, I asked myself "Hmm, wonder what 'Themes' does?" ... this was followed by a hearty "ARRRRRGH NOOOOOooooo" since I hadn't/didn't save my current configuration >.<

No, this can only be done manually, but that would be an AWESOME feature. Thats probably one of the main reasons i dont use the feature.

I agree. Time based scenes would be a great feature. Hopefully someone will write an app that does this. Similar to apps that switch profiles. One program that does BOTH profiles and scenes would really up the usefulness and productivity of this phone.
