Who has received the EPIC 4G update?

Okay, things seem to be much better! :D Looks like I just panicked like an Android noob :p

I did the airplane mode trick and my TWS is 0%!! I stopped the DRM service, too. Now, there is always a MediaHub download manager service that always runs. I don't know what it is, but I shut it down periodically during the day, cuz it keeps re-starting

i got the update middle of the night around 3am(woke up to pee, thats when i noticed it and let it update), and it has been pretty major... my phone now seems to truly sleep.

while at work today(in the center of a hospital building, no chance of getting a signal from any carrier), i had my phone on airplane mode, and while it idled there for 4 hours before my lunch break, it went from 100% battery(unplugged right before i started work) to 98%. then, during my hour lunch break, watching a few episodes on Jetflix, down to 85%. then back to airplane mode until go time, which is in a few min, and i'm now at 82% battery.

so a 9 hour since unplugged, mostly idle, with 1 hour of constant video streaming on 4g, and i'm at 82%.... i'm happy with that.

before the update i would be at 40% or so from same usage, and need to charge the phone if i wanted to use it during the evening.

i do still have to turn off DRM when i restart phone, but otherwise, the update fixed whatever was draining my battery.

I think it had been proven that the drm service was not the culprit for the battery drain. The battery issue was caused by the wifi sleep setting.
