Who has their 4XL

I never had a xl pixel. Just the standard pixel 2. But had the note 9. Found the note 9 a little big to fit in my jeans. How do you guys find the size of the XL? Pocketable?
Would like the XL for battery purposes.

Take a look over at phonearena they have some great size comparisons. 4 XL looks to be slightly narrower than a note or iPhone 11 pro max.

I did use the cable, everything did transfer. Some of my apps (ADT, iRobot, MyQ, Ecobee, etc) required me to login again, otherwise text, calls, everything came over great.

I had a bit of an issue getting the esim working on T-Mobile but got it done.

After setting everything up and using the phone for email, social media, etc. I do miss the finger print reader more than I thought I would. Otherwise, so far I like it.

It's been a year since I bought my Pixel 3 XL, can you please refresh my memory, do you have options on what you'd like to transfer?

I don't want to lose my text messages, but I prefer fresh installs of my apps...

I'm starting day two. So far I really like the phone.

I'm still getting used to the gesture navigation, and the living universe wallpapers stutter after unlocking the screen. Switching to a static wallpaper solves this issue, but I hope they update to fix it; because I really like the living universe wallpapers.

The battery is nice so far. I finished the day with 5 hrs. 42 min. of screen usage with 17% left when I put it on the charger. That's a lot for me.

I received mine yesterday. Transferred my apps and so forth from a Pixel 2 XL to my 4XL. Went really smooth. I did all my set up yesterday and put it on the wireless charger last night when I went to bed. I'll find out today how the battery life is.

Yes you have options to what transfers.

I picked my XL oh so orange up yesterday from UPS.

Really liking it so far. The screen is so much nicer and brighter than the 2 I had.

I always hated the thought of a "big" phone so before I ordered mine I went to a Verizon store and looked at the 4xl they had on display. I put my 2 right on top of the 4xl and the 4xl is maybe half an inch wider and two inches longer but you get so much more screen.

Held it in my hand and it just felt right so I ordered the XL.

Starting my first full day with it and the battery has been great so far.

Very happy with my purchase.

OK...not gonna compare specs here....just comparative feelings between my NOTE 10+ and the P4xl

Weight roughly similar
Pretty...Note 10+
Cool extras...like AR icons, etc ....Note 10+
Display...Note 10+. The Note10+ screens jumps at you. Like its entirely enhanced. By compare..the P4xl looks plain.

Not looking good for the P4xl is it

EAse of use...or rather familarity of use...NOTE 10+

Assistant use...P4xl
Battery usage ( only 24 hours in)...seem similar so far
Gesture use....Both are different...but prefer the P4xl
Storage used after intial setup and same apps.....P4xl...no samsung apps
Game play.....Wash
Social media usage.....wash
ease of sharing...P4xl
Ease of use...search....P4xl
Compare Pics from Note 10+.P4xl.....P4xl...the Note pics are nice...but in side by side compare...they appear doctored or enhanced. I supposed some people prefer blasting colors...I'd rather have the natural.
Finding things in Settings....Both Suck

Setup...both use similar setups. On the P4xl, most of the cool new things are either turned off by default or, required an update. So after setup, if you turn recorder on expecting a recording. its a no go. Requires updates. I had 54 updates after setup. After those updates...the new displayed items work.

I think , as a normal user. Someone without a plan. Meaning...I'm not a gamer. I'm not a big photo or video taker/watcher, I'd call the compare between the 2 a wash. Note 10 is prettier. It has a flashier display. Under the hood, with daily use...if you don't compare the flashy display...everything is virtually the same. So things mentioned in other threads, like the difference in FPS might sway you. Too early for battery life compares...but right now its very similar. Both are fast and smooth. Remembering the P3 issues with memory management. Don't see that. The display has NO blue tint. Took the P4xl outside...I can see my screen with no issues. Brightness set to 62%, right where it was when I started yesterday. fast charge works like the note...except the Note fast charge works on the magnetic nato mounts. I do not think the P4 does. Air pods and Samsung ear buds both work and do not disconnect at random. My Galaxy Active 2 watch connects and syncs and stays up to date with Samsung health on the P4xl
I am NOT getting on an 8ft ladder and dropping the phone to see if it survives. Let those ***** reviews on You Tube do that.

My work requires my device to be managed, so I have a version of INTUNE installed. The installation works fine. The company provided apps work as expected. My company email in Outlook work as expected. I've seen no battery loss because of that. MS Teams integration works fine. So, its a wash with NOTE.

So, from a NON Tech spec, regular user compare...the things I do daily...the things that matter to me...Its a wash compared to the Note 10+. I had the P3xl...and the memory management alone is worth the update. I don't spend my time flipping through apps a mile a minute, again let the idiots on you tube do that, but when switching through apps, it was smooth and instant. Reopening apps from the app drawer too was fast and smooth.

So, as a final mention...if you have something very specific that is important to you...let that be the decider....like the aforementioned FPS compare.Don't read the specs and compare. Do the hand test. Put it in your hand and see how it works. You might be surprised.

I'm coming off a 2XL. Got my 4XL yesterday.

The gesture navigation and lack of buttons is throwing me off a little, but I'm getting used to it.

I'm trying to use the stock launcher instead of Nova - but will probably switch back once gesture support is included again.

Camera is superb - speed is superb when compared to the 2XL - pleasantly surprised with the loudness of the speakers when compared to the 2XL.

And as has been said already here... The battery thing was a giant nothing burger.

I've used the phone just as much as I normally would - probably a little moreso since it's new . It's been off the charger since 5:30 this morning. I've had 2.5 hours of screen time and I'm at 69%.

The way the reviews were coming in I figured I'd be looking for a charger by now. I haven't even taken the charger out of my backpack.

I know my SMS messages didn't transfer and it sucks when some of your apps don't support facial recognition for banking or credit cards. So I had to type in my password or I can use my Pixel 2XL fingerprint reader since the 4XL doesn't have one. First world problems...
