who has unrooted from pwnmymoto?

I was planning on applying the OTA today after I installed pwnmomoto without running it. My phone restarted itself and apparently rooted my phone in the process. Please share your experiences. I have two questions.

Question One:

I have seen the thread on xda about unrooting through RSD. Did you use the stock firmware provided in the thread, or did you use something specific to the maxx?

I have read that people used have used house of moto to flash a stock recovery.IMG and that was how they were able to get it.
I would also assume unrooting via voodoo root keeper but I haven't been able to test it. All the people who fixed it don't report the steroids they went through for others though.
They just say they fixed it with no explanation.

I just flashed the stock firmware with rsd lite so I could take the update. Fast and easy, it does a factory reset so backup your stuff first.

what version of windows do you have? ive heard that some weren't able to RSD with 8.1

I unrooted and flashed back to stock using House of Moto - that tool allows you to keep all your data, too. Got the OTA this morning, everything running flawlessly.

I have used house of moto several times but still have root. I deleted the getvar line and everything. Any word of advice?

If you fxz with house of moto you will lose root no doubt 100%.

To stop the reminder freeze ota updater in system files.

Power Toggles won't work without root, you can't make a full nandroid backup without root, and you can't make certain customizations without root. Granted, the phone is nice and fast and really smooth. But until they start putting in features that some advanced users prefer, I will look to root, thank you.

I agree I don't see why they can't implement font changes color changes etc that xposed allows us to do. Customization is the cornerstone of android if I wanted a device like everyone else I would get an Iphone.

Maybe have an entire sub-menu dedicated to 'style', would be nice. I also don't know why they don't have a reboot option in factory power menu, especially with the phone that you can't pull the battery on!
