Who is getting the Nexus 5?

The Moto X looks nice. Can anyone advise if the camera has received a update yet? apart from that it looks pretty good from the reviews I've seen.

There are multiple threads on the Moto X page about the camera updates that have already started rolling out on at least one carrier. The updates look great.

I can only get it if it comes to Verizon. AT&T and T-Mobile aren't options for me at the moment. Not until they get better coverage and building penetration.

*Edit* Also AT&T's family plan is more expensive than Verizon's.

I'm getting it hopping for the 32gb even though I don't see me needing all the space like my 16gb Gnex.. But it would go great with my 32gb nexus 7(2013)

Well I have been using a SGS1 for the past 2 years while I've been waiting for my 3 year contract with Bell to end, which finally did this summer (my 1st android phone was the HTC Legend which had the screen digitizer fail after a year, I haven't been a big HTC fan since then). I've been waiting to see how the Note 3 and the next Nexus turn out before I make my decision, but I am almost completely certain I will be getting the next Nexus on day one (which if it has a screen size smaller than 5" will be called Nexus 4 2013 edition imo, even if it's 4.97"). I can't wait to finally get my hands on a Nexus device and have fast updates, no bloatware, and to have an android smartphone that isn't stuck in the dark ages of Gingerbread! (I haven't been willing to try and root/potentially screw up my daily driver). Hopefully Google sends out invitations for the event soon, I'm stoked!

I was going to get the Nexus 5 until the specs started leaking and I saw that 2300mah battery. After having the Galaxy Nexus and seeing all the battery life complaints about the Nexus 4, I will never get a device with less than a 3000mah battery again.

I have a nexus 4 and owned a Gnex currently using a moto X. The moto X has pretty decent battery life. I wouldn't say amazing, since to me amazing battery life would be 24 hours on battery with 4 hours of screen time. I do not get amazing battery life on the moto X. The best i have gotten on my moto X is 16 hours on battery with 3 hours of screen time. the nexus 4 use to get me about 9-10 hours on battery with 2-3 hours screen time. the Gnex was worse like 6-8 hours on battery with 1-2 hours screen time.

LOL forgot to put in there YES i am getting a Nexus 5. the reason i went through all that is to note that the moto X has a 2200mah battery so it isn't just battery size that matters.

I was seriously considering getting the Nexus 5 or the Chromebook 11 until this happened on Friday night;

Not only is the screen cracked but the touch display no longer works so I can't even get access to the phone. I'm having to use an old Blackberry Bold 9700 which is bloody barbaric. :(

So yeah a Nexus 5 it is so long as I can get it in the next four weeks, not sure I can put up with the Bold for longer than that, and I nearly knee jerked bought an HTC One on Friday night too.

This same thing happened to me with my N4. I was able to get what I needed off the phone over USB.

I play with my food

I am considering dropping Verizon when the Nexus 5 comes out and going to AT&T. After looking over the AT&T plans I think one of the post paid individual plans would work best for me, my question is, can I get the plan without a contract since I wouldn't be getting a phone from them?

Yes.

I have my money for a N5 set aside and I am selling my HTC One tomorrow. I will be using a T-Mobile Concord until it comes out. Google better hurry.

So many posts here and I haven't read them all but I'm in the uk, and would love one, but I can't imagine being able to get hold of one. If Google had a reliable simple system where you preorder and get sent one when you are next in the queue, but I imagine the minute they are on the play store they will sell out and won't be available again for weeks, at which point you just have to start again...
Frustrating...

I had the Moto X on AT&T and had received the camera update. The update helped but the camera is still sub-par. Of the flagship devices, it is probably the worst camera in my opinion and definitely the weakest part of the phone. The rest of it is great. However, if camera is a big thing to you, I would wait and check out the next set of snapdragon 800 processor ran phones coming out.

Which postpaid plan are you looking at? Just asking because they do have the $60 prepaid plan with 2GB of data that includes LTE.
