Who is returning @ 30 days???????? Incredible Anniversary

DanielK, I think you have it all wrong. Electronic Manuf. understand how they want the device to work, and go through many daunting test to assure that these kinds of things dont's happen (buttons wearing out). The HTC Eris has the same feature with the power button and waking it up, putting it to sleep and powering it off. So does the Moto Droid. I can't recall anyone making a stink about it or complaining about it or the buttons not responding due to over use. Based on my experience, I have not had any problems with the devices that I have used in the past. I am sure it is safe to say....click away my friend, click away!

The more I use this kick ass phone the more I learn. Hell it's the perfect size and it does just about everything, very happy.

I contemplated returning my Incredible, because I was suffering from a bit of EVO screen envy. However, there are three things that will keep me at home with my Incredible.

* The devices are essentially the same

* The major difference is screen size and HD recording. However, the sheer size of the EVO is --for someone who doesn't like stuff in his pockets and can't do holsters--something that I can't imagine carrying easily.

* The financial reality is that I would have to pay at least $175 to break my contract ... if I returned the Incredible and switched back to a basic phone. If I didn't return the Incredible, I'm looking at $550 to leave Verizon for the EVO.

No thanks. I'm quite happy with my Incredible. I'm sorry, but 0.6" of extra screen and HD video recording is not worth $500+

I can't wait for the pro football season to kick off so I can give the NFL app a real spin.

Verizon is the only network that works for me at home and school. So even if I was to toss the Inc, its not like I could go get an Evo. But I am loving the Inc, I just hope HTC continues to support it with OS updates after froyo!

It's a keeper.
- Great size.
- Great features
- Coverage is better than I had with the Hero on Sprint
- Add the Seidio 1750 battery and you're good to go!

Evo... Not enough people with front facing cameras to make it a worthwhile feature for another year.
Not enough 4G covered area to make the speed worthwhile yet.
Not enough banwidth on 3G for to way audio and video.
Looks too big.
Good luck with Sprint's support too.....Wow that's gonna stink.
If I wanted something like the EVO, I'd look at the Moto Shadow that's coming out. As loopy as Moto is, they make good hardware.

Love mine too, I'm not returning! I came from a BB Tour, and like someone else said, it took some time to figure out, but I'm loving it!

This thing rocks. I guess you could go for the Evo, or the *gasp* iPhone 4G. Nothing else really compares (OK, maybe the N1). I'm keeping mine, but gut a 1 year contract so I'm only 10 months away from an upgrade...if I can part with my Incredible!

I think the EFT is now $350 not $175 now. At least for the Incredible and phones like it.

How could it be different?

Mine is a keeper.... blows my previous Omnia out of the water...

I think it is funny that people who don't like the Incredible are thinking about getting the EVO ?? Same type of phone by the same mfg... what makes you think it is going to different??

1. Proven better build quality, not as plasticky.
2. Front facing camera for video chat.
3. Larger screen without the touchscreen issues that plague the incredible.
4. WiFi Hotspot.
5. HD quality YouTube.
6. Free navigation (if you don't like to use Google Nav)
7. HDMI output to TV or Monitor.
8. Qik
9. Sprint TV, Nascar, Football, Sprint Music for free!
10. 4.3" non OLED screen, so you can actually use it outside.
11. Mobile to Mobile calling on any network.
12. Kickstand

I am sure I probably left out several other things that others can fill in. I guess the advantage for the incredible is that:

1. It is smaller and doesn't do as much stuff!

There are zero reasons why I'd give up the Incredible. I'm satisfied until Verizon gets their LTE network up & running.

Droid Incredible

Bought the first one my local VZW store sold on day of launch. WILL NOT BE RETURNING IT!!! I LOVE IT and I have used many phones. Had two BB Storm2 and now have Moto Droid and Droid Incredible. I'm keepin both.

It's all about choices and preferences. I'm not trying to pick on you, but I think you're taking some liberties with your list.

I'll admit not handling the EVO yet, but the materials look identical. Seems to be a subjective stretch to say the EVO is not "as" plasticky.

How can you say what issues may, or may not, be experienced with the screen? The device hasn't even come out yet. I haven't had any problems with the screen on my Incredible.

Qik is not an EVO-exclusive feature.

A kickstand. Is that really a feature worth noting?

Some of the features you mentioned have nothing to do with the phone itself -- free navigation and mobile-to-mobile calls. I guess if we're adding benefits of the network into the discussion, it's relevant.

Keeper

After coming from the Storm  (which was a disaster from the beginning), this phone lives up to its name. I definitely will be keeping it. Now if we could just get the Amazon MP3 app for the phone I'd be happy...

I'm keeping mine, I've been nothing but happy. It took me a bit to make the adjustment from BB to the DI, and took a bit of figuring out why things were not working for me. But over the last few weeks I've had the phone I've become highly versed in many aspects of the phone and I'm still discovering new stuff daily as I start to use things more in depth. Awesome piece of kit, I've never had a phone that I've been so thoroughly satisfied with.

i wont be returning mine at all. i didn't like it at first and switched back to my moto droid but now that i have learned how to hide sense ui when i want to i absolutely love the device. it's so snappy and i have had no bugs at all ( hopefully i wont ever ) but all in all it's a great phone hands down

I never put this phone down. I won't be returning it at all. I love it so much. I switched from a LG dare to this and will never look back. Verizon doesn't have another phone that can compete. Maybe if I want to wait longer but I dont feel like it. The only thing I would think about switching for would be the motorola shadow but it doesn't even look as good as the INC

Yep, too bad Sprint's network sucks ;-) Anyway good luck.

I'll re turn my Incredible when they pry it from my cold dead hand ;-) Awesome device!

Your "sucks" comment is all about location...location....location....

Too bad the incredible is going to be forgotten about the second the EVO launches..;) It's better than the incredible in EVERY way...

Oh wait you cant even purchase an incredible, haha talk about a MAJOR screw up...DOH....hahahaha

exactly. Same phone basically. What battery will the evo have? Should be interesting to see the battery life on it.

I'm keeping my incredible. It's great!

Ps. I think it's funny to see people defending the evo like it can't by itself. Plus they don't even have one. Do you honestly think the evo will not have its disadvantages just like every other smartphone?
