Who is returning @ 30 days???????? Incredible Anniversary

Your "sucks" comment is all about location...location....location....

Too bad the incredible is going to be forgotten about the second the EVO launches..;) It's better than the incredible in EVERY way...

Oh wait you cant even purchase an incredible, haha talk about a MAJOR screw up...DOH....hahahaha

And the Evo is going to be forgotten with the announcement of the Motorola Shadow/Droid 2 or the Samsung Galaxy S....what your point???? Be happy with whatever you chose, if not then move. Things change! Welcome to reality.

This thread was a question to Incredible owners, not for future Evo owners to come in here and turn it into a pissing contest.

This guy gets it!

+1 to you sir!

Evo guys are gonna be in for a rude awakening come this year's end.

I dont know why you would try to defend the EVO and put down the INC. They seriously are almost the exact same phone. They have the exact same specs except the EVO has 4.3in screen, HDMI out, 720p recording, and dual cameras. Then you also get 4G which isn't even in available in most areas, plus cost more. So you dont need to put the INC down for the EVO. Not a large difference when the EVO has a higher price and plan.

1. Proven better build quality, not as plasticky.
2. Front facing camera for video chat.
3. Larger screen without the touchscreen issues that plague the incredible.
4. WiFi Hotspot.
5. HD quality YouTube.
6. Free navigation (if you don't like to use Google Nav)
7. HDMI output to TV or Monitor.
8. Qik
9. Sprint TV, Nascar, Football, Sprint Music for free!
10. 4.3" non OLED screen, so you can actually use it outside.
11. Mobile to Mobile calling on any network.
12. Kickstand

I am sure I probably left out several other things that others can fill in. I guess the advantage for the incredible is that:

1. It is smaller and doesn't do as much stuff!

Front facing camera..big deal
With Froyo the Incredible will have WiFi Hotspot
My Incredible has HD quality YouTube
HDMI out to TV....another whoopee
Qik can be downloaded from the Android Market on my Incredible but have no use for it
Sprint doesn't have football app anymore...Verizon does
Mobile to Mobile calling? Are you serious? Who doesn't offer that?
Kickstand? Another joke.
Oh and Sprint service sucks.
I will stick with my Droid Incredible

Keeping mine. Only complaint is battery life, but with some tweaking it is now fair. Came over from a BB8330 not looking back.

No way will this phone be returned.

My only complaints after 28 days of use are

- Battery, and that will be remedied soon. I can make it through a day though.
- CityID crapware, assume I can blame VZW and not HTC for this.
- Contact list is a little clumsy, would like to see a one touch solution for dialing from contact list. For now I use the car panel to dial when I am travelling.
- AMOLED in the direct sunlight is not so good, I use my hand to cover screen.
- Too many people at work want to play with it.... pisses me off.

What I love

- It is the perfect size. Fits perfectly in hand and front pocket. No need for a holster.
- Sense is a nice UI on top of stock android
- Touchscreen is responsive as hell ! Pinch zoom is fast fast fast.
- AMOLED screen colors are beautiful and super clear
- My 20% Verizon discount puts me in line with Sprint pricing.
- 3G everywhere I go it seems
- No dropped calls. NONE. NADA. ZILCH. in 30 days of service.

First off.. location is only relevant to where you are at the time.. its a mobile phone, it goes everywhere with you, keep telling yourself how awesome Sprint is til you have to CS the first time :) As for the "MAJOR screw-up" Do you even have the slightest indignation as to why there is a shortage of Incredibles out there? I doubt that very much.. the demand isn't meeting the supply, and its hardly a screw up, simply a manufacturing issue that can't be resolved as quickly as people want the device.

exactly. Same phone basically. What battery will the evo have? Should be interesting to see the battery life on it.

I'm keeping my incredible. It's great!

Ps. I think it's funny to see people defending the evo like it can't by itself. Plus they don't even have one. Do you honestly think the evo will not have its disadvantages just like every other smartphone?

From what I hear of the EVO's battery life, its teh suck. Especially if you're 4G'ing it up.. so it seems that huge screen that is a TFT and not an AMOLED will probably not help along with the battery life. I think its funny that the EVO snobs are already up in arms about how amazing their phone will be because its bigger and does 'more stuff' shame things like the front-facing camera will be useless at least for another year, til more mobile devices start to get them, and a kickstand? really?

i like the phone...coming from a storm 1 its a great phone. The screen in the sun kinda blows but you can live with it. Battery ehh it is what it is but reakky where are you that you cant plug into a usb, wall or a car for 20 min..( i drive around all day using the web, making calls and texting and i only charge it once or twice a day....bout the same as bb i can just look at 3x the amount of sh@t lol)

but...i'm having a few issues 1.i got a freaked out notifacations bar that made screen un responssive had to turn off 2. I seem to hang up on people alot, hitting end call with my chin before it hits my ear lol (is there a stormlock type app) 3 My pictures seemed to vanish on my sd card ??? i cant fig this out the movies that were on sd card are still there but the pictures arent...Are there apps for my issues, i dont mind donating to apps, people make some cool stuff for a few bucks lol

Uhhh......I'll be keeping mine, thanks. The battery life leaves a bit to be desired and I had a somewhat of learning curve coming from a dumbphone in setting everything up. The only true competition to the Incredible is the Evo. And that phone is on the wrong carrier.

I agree with this totally. Whoever tried to say all of those great things was a joke. When we get Froyo it is going to equally be just as good as the EVO. Sure the EVO has a bigger screen but I really wouldn't like a bigger screen. More battery drain and larger in my pocket. 3.7 is perfect for me. I have never experienced multi touch problems with the INC

no plans on returning mine. best phone ive ever had, period. sure there are some glitches but nothin i cant deal with. ive heard from a buddy that a proper update can fix a lot. that what im hopin for

I believe Sprint is the only company that has the feature where you have unlimited calling to Any Mobile number on Any Network. Which is actually an awesome perk.

Actually Verizon does offer it too. And I have a feeling most other companies do too. For an individual who wants unlimited talk and text it is 89.99 a month a believe. Here is the website if you want to double check:

Mobile Service Plans: Verizon Wireless

Plus you get unlimited data for $29.99 a month too. So for around $120 a month you can have unlimited everything.

And on Sprint the simply everything was $100. That included 3G data but you need 4G data and the 4G data plan says it is $60 which is way more than verizon. Plus that is unlimited 4G and only 5GB of 3G. Here is the sprint website.

1. Front facing camera??? Who cares??
2. Inc has Free navigation.. How you obtain it is not the issue.
3.Football?? I guess you haven't heard that Verizon, NOT Sprint has the rights to NFL Network so try all you want but you will not see NFL on Sprint this year on your phone.
4.QIK... My DInc has it so....... ?

Its basically the Incredible on Sprint.. Dont be fooled...

Also techgeek, even IF it had better build quality how would it be proven when the phone hasn't even hit the market yet??? You do realize the manufacturing process is identical to the Incredible they just put in the extra camera the larger screen and leave out the internal memory.......

I agree with 6s1d9, it's basically the Incredible on Sprint with a bigger screen and dual cameras. While I do like the bigger screen I don't like the form factor, I would rather have the extra internal memory versus none, all the other options are pretty much the same. EVO will still be one heck of a phone for the users who don't care for or want Verizon service.

Please stop spreading false info. It's not that the carriers offer unlimited minutes plans, which yes, they all do. The mobile-to-mobile referred to here means you can call any mobile phone, on any carrier, at any time without spending minutes. You only spend minutes if you're roaming or you call a landline. That's on all currently-offered Sprint plans, I believe, including the 450 minute plan.

Now, as to your 4g assertion, NO, you don't need to add a $60 plan. That's the data plan for computers using USB modems or Overdrive hotspots. For the Evo, if you get the Unlimited Everything, it's $99 + the $10 Evo Premium data plan (that everyone on Android Central has been lamenting all month). If you get the 450 minute plan (remember, free calls to all cell phones), you're spending just $80/month. Either way, that's still $10 cheaper than Verizon's comparable 3G plans... a great deal if you're in a 4G area. There is a $30 charge if you want to use the Wi-Fi Hotspot feature though. :(

You can say that Verizon has better coverage than Sprint (I agree), but I live on a rock the size of Rhode Island in the middle of the Pacific (a good part of it mountains, where you just don't go), so there's not a whole lot of ground to cover. So I think 4G coverage will be pretty good here, especially after seeing Sprint's coverage map.

I came from the MOTO Droid with 2.1 overclocked to 1.2 gig with jit enabled and most of the system apps I don't use removed from phone memory. It was setup for speed and was nice but no way I'm returning my incredible . The phone is fast and very well set up . I just can't wait till its rooted and running 2.2 with sense and flash 10.1 !

Lets hope that getting 2.2 on the Inc and the Evo is very similar so HTC will be able to get it done quicker and will have more motivation to keep pushing updates into next year with gingerbread.

You can polish a turd, but it still a piece of ****. I don't want to turn this thread into a giant debate but sprint service is horrible. At least where I am located. I'm sure the Evo is going to Sprint for the sole reason of trying to attract more customers.
