Who is returning and why?

Unlocking with a picture is easier said than done. I know YouTubers can do it but I have been trying to do with my Note 9 holding up a selfie to my S10+ and I can't get it to unlock at all..

And that's fine for you.. I still won't use it.

For a celebrity or high profile government official yes this face unlock wouldn't be recommended, but for the average Joe really what are the chances if you lost your phone that someone has a picture of you. Unless your a secret agent and someone you know has a pic of you and is specifically targeting you and wants to steal your phone then it might be "un-secure"... I'm not worried about it at all

Credit/debit cards info are kept on phones, along with health information, personal and work email, and texts. There is no excuse to use an unsecure authentication.

I'm not returning mine after the great morning I've had. I bought the 1TB 10S+ and my case is being delivered today. The only thing I don't like so far is that system sounds have been changed over the previous models. I was used to the whisper sound and it's gone now. I may see how I like using my phone without the fingerprint sensor enabled. It works only with my index finger. I've tried scanning both thumbs and it just doesn't work. That's not a reason to bring the phone though. I was using my S9+ with the S View case and had no security at all on it so that when I opened the cover, the phone was ready for me to do whatever I needed to do on it. I may even see if Samsung has the S View case for the S10+

To make up for the price, I sold my 256GB iPhone for $500 and also sold my S9+ this morning for $400. Total price for my 1TB 10S+? $600.

I've really been serious about getting rid of all these extra phones I've been hanging onto lately.

Prob going back next week - Exynos version has terrible battery life and is laggy

I have the Feb 1st update. How do I know if I have the update for the fingerprint scanner? I'm on Verizon.
You have the update, every carrier and unlocked model got the day one update. You can go and check update again, if it says you are up-to-date then you are good.

My finger print scanner doesn’t work at all. Other then that’s it’s A good phone.
Have you taken it into a store to have it checked? If you bought it directly from Samsung have you contacted them for support and possible replacement?

I want for the AT&T bogo deal. Since the fps works fine one the unit I actually have to pay for (the 512 ceramic) I might just stick it out with the 128GB. It should get the update sooner or later. The fps works if I move my thumb around and wait...and stand one one leg...and hop...and wet my fingers.

Ah bummer good luck, yeah S9+ is still a great phone especially after the One UI update. Next year your trade won't be worth $550 though, probably more around $300 or $350 based on what they are offering for S8+ now. Not that it matters, more of FYI

You misunderstand--I kept the S10+, and I figure next year Sammy will have a deal that turns out to be just like this year's deal. Give them your S10+ and $450 plus tax, and get a shiny new S11+.

Rinse, repeat. Every year.

Oh sorry ... Yeah that's a great plan

Anyone who think about returning the phone.. Can you go back to the old phone with top and bottom bezel?

Very easily. I'm highly resistant to marketing crapola, and the whole bezel thing is insane. Who cares. If it's a fashion statement you're looking for, head to Rodeo Drive and spend $10K on a jacket. This is a phone.

The S9+ was a fantastic piece. There's really no need to move from that. I know that now, having used both. The 10+ isn't really an improvement--today. Tomorrow may be a different matter, with Android Q coming to your phone in a year.

Returned my s10 and went back to the s9 plus. Fingerprint scanner is horrendous. No way that should have been brought to the phone this year as it's not ready imo.

Having used both...so you did fall for the marketing crapola...because otherwise you would have just ignored the S10 from the get go.

Two words: Butt dialing. The phone butt dials like crazy from the pocket. If I keep AOD on and "Tap twice to wake" on (both great features), it will do any random thing imaginable in the pocket. LG has had both of these features for years and they have worked flawlessly. Why not Samsung? LG V50 is looking appealing.
Try turning on the accidental touch protection under display settings.

I actually tried using a picture to unlock my phone and I couldn't get it to work. I have it set to the faster setting too, so less secure. Still use the fps for banking and Samsung pay. So I'm not concerned with security at all. I just wish the fps worked as good as the note 9. Hopefully it will with the note 10. I'll find out in September.
